There are photoperiod seeds and autoflower seeds. They come in female and regular seeds. Regular seeds can be a bit of a crap shoot. In general, autos finish in the neighborhood of 8-10 weeks. Photoperiods take longer. Autos have no light restrictions, photoperiod must have a 12 on 12 off for lights.

Many thanks ...
So are the yields better than a normal say 12 / week shunt ....a week drying gently
Say @ 4 to 5 per baby total 13 /14 weeks x 6 auto pots
24 /30 end product ...howz this against 6 autofloweing seeds in autopots with domes airing24 /7..many thanks my good friend ... piece ....

There are absolutely too many variables to acurately answer that comparison question correctly. Autos generally yield less than photos because they autoflower at around 30 days of age. Photo period plants can't be vegged for 8 weeks or more and can grow into mini tree sized plants. Its to hard to say what one might yield in comparison to photoperiod plants. Most people who grow autos grow them because they are faster, smaller/more compact, feminized, and don't require a change in light cycle.

photoperiod seed cracks...a number of weeks at 18/6 light pattern,x number of weeks at 12/12 then harvest
autoflower seed cracks...8-10 weeks later harvest be that 24/0,20/4,18/6 or even 12/12
autoflowers win for me cause i take a plant outa the cupboard and put another plant in every 21 days, dont touch timers nothing.
good luck n keep er lit.
:pighug:

I wish I had a solid answer for you.. But there are just too many variables. For example.. Pot size, the genetics used, the strain, the type of lights used, light schedule used, the temps/environment.. The list goes on and on. Everyone's garden is different so there are no set answers. The rule of thumb that I use with all cannabis growing, autos or not, is an ounce per gallon. Meaning, that if everything in the grow space is up to par and within recommended ranges, you can expect at least get an ounce per gallon (pot size) used. So a one gal pot should get an ounce.. 2 gal pot, 2 ounces ect. As far as time until harvest, most autos bred by reputible breeders, finish anywhere from 8-11 weeks from seed.
