Hi all you beautiful peeps, I have a quick question about bat guano, can I add it to my light mix from bio bizz as like a soil amendment, I've looked on the guanokalong site but im a bit confused, and didn't know if it's ok to put my seeds in the amended soil(sweet seeds cream caramel) or should I just use it as a tea? any help is much appreciated, thanks in advance :)

Guanos can be used in any soil mix as an amendment.IF you decide to use it in your soil (since guanos run HOT) make sure you tier or plug your pots atleast.but imho you should use it in your teas only and make sure you have lime and your drainage(in your soil) in ok shape prior to adding guanos to soil or anything as far as a feed or soil amendment.but they work great just use them very sparringly is all.:Sharing One:

I myself do not know the answer but I never use such things on small plants and it is only in the soil of the final big pot when the plant is mature enough to enjoy luxuries of life, they are like us and when they are young they are fragile and have little needs only water. Make sure the guano is heat sterilized properly as bats often carry amazing diseases. Depends on the guano being harvested usually the good stuff is actually ancient bat poop not fresh bat poop that has compacted over centuries on cave floors. Note that pro growers should know how it affects Ph and can even sometimes then use Guano to help balance the soil nicely.

thanks so much, i'll hold off and just use it in flowering teas, the guano im going to use is the guanokalong powder (1-10-1), here's hoping It helps me create some tasty buds!!!!!

No problem man,if your doing organics make sure your lime n buffering characteristics are in fair standing in your soil and add it to your first water feeding with it in the tea(used lightly like 1/8th teaspoon per gallon) and feed at flowering after transition has fully flipped.not pre flowers ,wait till its fully spinning up a week or two after flowering starts.and assuming the strain aint sensetive youll be fine at that strength. should give you some tasty buds with a decent soil n tea once of twice n you shouldnt have to actually feed it again till ya water next with cal mag n any sugar or molasses n surfactant rinse prior to harvest.thats what i do anyways seems to work pretty well.

Thank you so much Eyes, im ok with feeding with the normal bio bizz nutes but when it comes to mixing it up a little and adding extra stuff to give me a tastier buds I get a bit confused. I added a top layer to my last grow and somehow the plants didn't like it, think it was too hot and I was using all mix not light mix last time.

yeah thats prolly why it ,runs hot and its very heavy trace compound thatll silt your soil n keep it hotter especially when moist.and if your using that bio bizz bottled stuff I honestly wouldnt use any guano in your feeds to be honest.there are other more mellow things like alfalfa n kelp meals n simple fishies n things thatll do just as good then you can add the guanos but with the hotter aspect of the bottled feeds Id personally stay away from guano.

it can be used it soil well.use for you bag of soil(im guessing 50L or 1.5 Cubic feet or so?) of something like 1 Tbspoon or even 1.5 TBspoons to start with with added lime and some perlite n stuff as ya know Id imagine but thats how id use it as it sits right now with your bottled feeds and soil medium. ofcourse guessing youve not messed with your soil much..?

Thanks again eyes, no I've just kept the soil as is out of the bag,im just going to stick with the bio bizz nutes for now, then perhaps next time I will go all out organic, making my own soil, teas and stuff, so there's a good chance my plants yellowed last time because of the guano I put in the soil(first time id used it), never had any probs with photo period growing, I guess I've still got a lot to learn about auto's and a hell of a lot to learn about true organics. In your opinion can autos taste as good as photo period plants?

well if your asking if autos can and do taste as good a photos?Oh yes sir they most certainly do in organics and a good dry n cure..?Yup!!happy bud smoking there!! your photos prolly had a slight PH issue and under fed especially if they were fully cycled photos for several months.bagged soil wont throw out a good photo grow without being worked.same with autos to a fair degree as well. always remember autos are half the strength as photos as a general rule.strain specifcs fall into play here n there but always half the strength of photos..and again to answer your question YES they surely surely do!! n dont call me surely lmfao! :smoke:

Thanks Eye's again:Sharing One:, right so for this next grow, it's bio bizz light mix soil together with fish-mix and algamic liquid fertz and i'll add a bloom for the last 4-5 weeks(I will give the fertz at half strength) once that's done i'll dig out a book I brought a while back called TLO? aint read it yet but I suppose it's a good place to start to create my own soil mix. Im doing Dinafem Sour diesel, Dutch passion Star Ryder and Sweet Seeds cream caramel, in 11ltr air pots, only 3 plants under a 250 hps, just enough to keep me and mrs headcell supplied. thanks again
