New Grower Bay Area Backyard Grow Take TWO :D

Hey, guess what?

One of the exciting things about growing outside are the uncontrollable variables, for example the wind knocking down 2 sections of the fence between our house and the neighbor! Eeeekkk! Luckily the plants are just babies, but I'm prepping for the photo grow and FREAKING OUT a little... Starting later won't be a total catastrophe, but it WILL mean a shorter veg period, which means smaller plants and less yield... Hmmm I'm getting ahead of myself here, so let's get HIGH and I'll post some pics, sound good? I think so toooo.

And there we are! Now I can get back to pacing the backyard... My husband and the neighbor are working on the fence right now, so hopefully it will be up tomorrow or Friday. NOW if I can only convince the neighbor to hold off on replacing the rest of it until say, mid-October I'll be in business! LOL Otherwise I may have a brain bleed. :hot:

Sure was, PoKa! Our backdoor neighbor had a huge tree fall onto 3 fences because of where it was standing and the direction it fell... Seems like they just finished with the chainsaws...

(LOL!) WIND!! It was a fierce down here too Sapphire, and for days, right?! One short road I saw (and tried to access) along the open beach front was -gone,... just gone... under the sand :joint:
..And cold too dammit! Kinda slowed the action down there for a bit,... but one up side is that the wind buffeting has stoutened up the little stems on the shorties... We should get some nice make-up sun this next week though,.. :brow: ..... I'm so glad there were no casualties,.. right? ....besides your nerves,... (LOL!) The rest of the gang looks great; I got a few runts too,... late germ'ers, except one purple kush that cracked and shooted step for step with its mate, but never took off after emerging,... whatta ya gonna do, eh? Good luck and fingers crossed about the fence situation! Was it Twain that said something about 'good fences make for good neighbors'...? Meanwhile, try to keep those sun-bathing beauties away from perverted eyes! (-speaking of which, I posted some pics today, check'm out...)

waira & gradolabs you're hilarious!

Got 420 pics of my babies like it was the first day of school for my children! I don't have any kids (don't plan to lol) but bear with me as I present everyone's close up... I was thinking of naming them after they flower to keep things interesting, and to help tell them apart.

I think (most of) they like the light in the yard - finally starting to grow more rapidly like everyone else's (lol) and they aren't stretching. There are definitely a few mutant seeds that started off with funky leaves, but they are growing like champs anyway. It's day 27 for the "main" strains I'm growing, and day 17 for the "replacements." The replacements are way behind I think, but maybe they will pick up soon...

Pineapple Express from Barney's Farm.... Mentioning Barney's because I have 3 plants; one is "normal" haha, one is mutant but doing well, and one is RUNT that I don't see any more leaves coming forth from... I'd have been pissed if it was my ONLY seed, just saying. So already Barney's PE is inconsistent, in my opinion.

This last one is like "wtf," right?? LOL

Next up 2 Afghan Kush Ryder, with a replacement Sweet Tooth. The AKR is finally kickin it up a notch!



2 Original Amnesias & a replacement Auto AK. The larger of the Amnesia is in Roots Organic soil, the other one is in Firefox Ocean Forest. Good example of the difference showing in all the strains - except for the 17 day olds... lol



M'kay, finally the Haze 2.0's - they might be the happiest of all!

The last 2 are practically twins! lol

So, thoughts, questions, comments? I always feel like mine are behind schedule compared to other grows... Maybe they were just stressed from being transplanted or something, but they seem to like my backyard, ya? And WOW that was a lot of pics to post so I won't post them all every time, but down the road it will be fun to compare...

Barneys seeds have gotten a bad rap as of late... seen more than a few threads with issues, and thats just on AFN. No real personal experience, but I get the feeling something is amiss. Anyways happy growing. Ladies look wonderful.

Uuuuh-huh! You grow girl!! :dance2: I trust that the, ..ahem,...modesty of your back yard has been restored? (lol!) Them Peep's best not be peepin'! impmyride: :roflcry: The shorties are looking great sapphire!... mine are following the same growth pattern as yours- they're starting to stack new leaflets nose to cheek on newer leaflets! This is a very good thing, see, each node will form 2 new side branch sites, which means more goodness down the road! I get the strong impression they're starting to feel their 'biological clock' nudging them to bulk up in preparation for getting (queue Barry White)... sexual, baaay-bah..! :brow: LMAO! The nodes are gonna stack tight for now, and then I think their going to spring up in the stretch mode.... Plus our full sun all day long makes all kinds of plants grow a bit squatter and robust. Besides, our outdoor girls lead very different environmental lives compared to those indoors; those spoiled children get 20hrs plus of light, and that's why they can be made into super chunky mini-monsters (seriously, have you scoped out the pic competition thread? Sacre-blueu!) But we got a not so little something they're mostly lacking: UV-B wavelength, baby!! This type of uv radiation has proven to increase potency (I forget the biological imperative behind this phenomena :joint: ..a little 420 monment there) LOL! we may not win the weight competition, but we're stronger per weight no doubt! .... I have pairs of nearly everything, with all but a few late starters in the same soil, and even so about 1/3 show significant differences between them,... still, it's very early in the game, and their biggest changes are yet to come, so don't place any bets yet! Barney's shwag aside,...those cats are showing very poorly these days with bad product and policy,... and for that, they can smootch my Brown Cave Starfish! ..... Nice work so far Sapphire! ...(***pest alert system***)....:check: I'm starting to see those little black flying aphids that land and immediately start shittin' babies all over the place,... and even a few whiteflies, so BOTLO,......
