All four girls popped their heads up last night. The beans started there journey on Wednesday. It took only four days. Amazing.

They all sprouted at the same time. They popped from the soil at the same time. They are the same shape. They are the same height. I hope this keeps up.

The Sour Kids are on their 3rd day. They are beginning to settle in. Vertical growth has started. The Smart Pots are still moist from the initial watering. The lights go off at noon and come back on at 6:00 PM. I'll check the soil when the lights come on later this evening.

I took the 150W CFL 6500K out and added the new 400W Hortilux Blue Daylight Metal Halide Lamp. I have a dial a watt ballast that is set at 200W. The lamp is in the Cool Tube and is 12" inches from the top of the new girls. They seem to like it.

Tomorrow is 7 DAYS. One week old. The Sour Kids are established now. I gave them their first "WET" on the Wet/Dry cycle this morning. They all had four cups of water (6.3 pH) IN. A good 20%-25% run-off at 6.1 pH. The Smart Pots were light before the watering, in fact the S/Ps were saturated the day before the girls were dropped into the soil. Just a light watering of the little seedlings (Rhyceland Method) after that initial WET. I did add 1/4 teaspoon of Super Thrive to the water. That's something my family used to do before starting their tomato, peper, etc. seedlings. I haven't used S/T that often. Gonna use it on this grow. Lights are off from Noon to Six in the evening. Like that light set up. Have the 400W Day Light set at 200W now. The Cool Tube is set around 12"-14" from the tops of the girls. MAX fan is set at on low; the temps inside the armoire are 75F-80F with a RH @ 40% (okay).

Leaf,
Yup, the initial wetting of the top of the soil is wonderful! I use an atomizer with trace nutes. I intend to test the 'Superthrive' this summer with my organic garden, probably poblanos. Go-Go Sour Kids!
