New Grower beginner grow, hoping to start perpetual. Come fly with me! CLW SS 400w LED, 4'x3', 3x White Widow a

:tiphat: day 24 and the white widows have started to show pistils! here are some picture updates:

hc ww 10-15.4.jpg The biggest white widow and the cheese are on the left, the two other white widows, smallest, are on the right. Showing size differences here mainly. I really like how the cheese is taking to LST i'm doing with it, getting some nice branching:Cool:all plants love the calmag and show improvement to full health on all new growth:D:

hc ww 10-15.3.jpg All four lined up getting their water and nutes in the morn

hc ww 10-15.2.jpg biggest White widow and cheese in sun

hc ww 10-15.jpg biggest White widow in sun. this thing is going to have monster branching with the tucking that i've been doing with it. since then, more tucking as the nodes come in on the smaller autos and all of them love the treatments

hc ww 10-15 magical.jpg Beautiful pretty bonus picture of the small pistils reaching out! Feels good to get to this point:yay:

Also, if anyone wants to request pictures to see up closer or get any more info let me know, happy to respond:thumbs:

Looks to me like you're doing something right ... sounds like you may be having a little mag deficiency ... The plants love that light ... Congratulations on a great start.

Aaaaaand we're back from the break with updates for the viewers!:

hc ww 10-17.2.jpghc ww 10-17.jpg
The other fine ladies decided they wanted to fill out as well.. swapped the Cheese photo with the WW auto in the corner. Have the cheese getting some LST and started FIMming some branches.
I really like how tucking effects these plants, fun to work and move around with instead of photos like I am used to. Able to bush out the other ladies a bit, but the largest WW still has a solid ~5-7cm lead.

Just showing more growth.

hc ww 10-17.3.jpg Sooo wide... :smoke:

Handling their nutes well, new growth lushly green. They eat the calmag right up :wiz:

hc ww 10-17.5.jpg I have an old bed frame and lots of criss-cross wiring. DIY? Tossing around the idea of setting up a screen. I know without a doubt, next grow I'll be using some square pots and using the bedframe as elevation to put drip trays in. I'll let my crazy mind just run around these ideas for fun for a while in the ol' idea cooker :edible:

Fantastic grow ... really looking forward to the updates ... When I use my Big Ass Led I've found that it bothers my eyes ... my smaller ones never bothered me ... might be wise to protect your eyes ...

Thanks Chester, I have some sunglasses I wear in there but I'll admit, I don't use them all the time hehe. I find my eyes only have to adjust back to seeing the color green because the spectrum given off is primarily purple (my wild guess).
But man, good looking out because sunglasses really do help a lot

more DIY time

Spent some time messing around, studying and making the frame more sturdy. I had cut it and shifted parts around so now I've ended with a 3'x3' framed platform that I will put up on breezeblocks and slide drip trays underneath one I've sealed the wood idea of a simple drip-to-waste system:wiz:

This is where I wanted some opinions...

From this picture, I have all 9 new square 3 gallon pots in a 3'x3' area(wanted to maximize my soil/sq.ft. amount and not cause the roots to spiral :]). I do not have funds at the moment to afford another light, and personally I would say that the SS400w (~320 actual) is highly capable, however I see the watts/sq.ft. lacking once this setup is added. Thoughts?:tiphat:

I could just be underguessing the light's power, though, as the plants are doing very well in 2.5'x2.5' currently. This is not to say that They aren't big ol' wide, space-taking bushes, but I mean every branch head as found its way up so far!

I have all the materials in items(junk) I could find at my disposal if I were to add a scrog net to the design, but as of now I think I will table that idea, seeing as I am trying to still lead into a perpetual setup (being my father's caregiver). By taking two pots off of the table, leaving 7, I could follow through with a setup using an old dresser, housing two at a time, to allow vegging on 24/0 for the first ~3 weeks. After which move them into the flower room (which, in rows, would be 2 plants, 3 plants, 2 plants). Maybe switch up how many I have on there until another light is added?

Out of time right now, but I will either see someone later or update when it's time:smoke:

30 watts / sq ft of actual quality LED will grow just fine ... I've seen amazing results w/ closer to 10 w/sq' ... :thedogsbollocks:

Two pictures I had forgotten I had taken the morning of the 23rd(one month old). --
Gettin' to the growin'! -- Slightly over 1/2 an inch per day in vertical growth, 9 in. in these past two weeks. Hungry hungry hippos!

Will snap more and upload tomorrow or the day after, time I show them under the LED again. Going to be a mainly visual post and catch up on amount of nutes going through them, I tend to type on a lotWoops
