Thanks man! Im going to check out your journal after this! I have steereed away (personally) from directly into the final pot from seed cus it takes much longer for seed to grow root system i feel like, so it delays it alot... you know? I could be wrong tho of course.
I think one of the general rules, though there are certainly those who don't follow it, is to plant straight into the final pot for autos. Since there is usually some stress related to transplanting and with autos abbreviated life span, it's best not to risk the recovery time.
This is probably a fairly debated subject though and ultimately comes down to your personal style or technique. Just passing along some of the 'golden rules' I've heard over and over again.
Very interesting about root growth and the smaller container, I had always thought photos and some autos were started in smaller pots so you didn't have to give up the space for a full pot before the plants showed sex, so with fems it shouldn't matter. Learn something everyday around here haha.
Candy Kush is a fine strain; the photo version is fierce shit! I see it often testing out in the 20's %THC!! :coffee break: ... try a hardware store for 3gal buckets; you might want to look into airpots or (fabric) smart pots too, they both have solid results behind them here! .. I tried smart pots this last grow, and had the best root development to date,... example: I got a oz of iron death nugg's off a late season F1 Fast Green Poison that wasn't topped, about 30" tall,.... Sweet Seeds is a must try bro'! -look them up here in the seeds forum; AFN is bristling with fantastic grows of many of their strains; the pics will nammys Horney for days,.... :roflcry: (hit the Sweet Creme's link in my signature area, right side, and check out some dry-porn if you like, for starters)....
