Hi everyone - I posted this somewhere else but so far have had no response from anyone, so I thought I'd repost it here and see if I have any more luck.

Any advice or recommendations for Auto Sativas, particularly those that grow well outdoors and aren't as small/low as possible (thats the tricky bit!) Am considering my next grow and need some tips as to what strain to select. I love the energetic buzz of a sativa hit, minimal couchlock if possible please!

Have you grown any that fit that description? How did it grow and how did it smoke?

Thanks brethren!

Super Cali Haze does well outside and is 1.5 to 2 metres high. Can take 120 to 150 days till harvest.

thanks Dingo. I just looked it up - sounds fantastic - i love the sound of a 'soaring Sativa high', its definitely one to consider. Only bummer is the height and the length of flowering. God I wish I had a place to grown some!

you can cut the tip at 5th. node. You will lose a week or two but plenty time to recover and have small hedge of soaring buds.

Thats interesting... so, were you saying that even the taller strains can produce good bud if you pinch them/train them short so to speak? If thats the case, I'm getting a boner!

Buddha seeds magnum, lst her and put her in a 2-3 gallon pot. She will get bushy and in a smaller pot, she wont get as tall. Sativa genetics at their finest!!!

I think for outdoor auto sativas you must try superautos by stitch.
Those can show true sativa characteristics, which includes structure and height, if untrained.

Other possibilities include some specific sativa autos, like DP's polarlight or some other stitch's auto strain.

Last season I grew a bunch of superautos(see my sig), this year I'm trying two new ones. So far I'm very impressed.
I must say it again, if you have the space and time, give them a shot, although I think for this year it's too late in the season to pop them.

In the end it all depends what you want and how you want it:)

Cheers

I picked up some Magnum at a dispensary in Portland. It was fine weed for sure.

Did they label it/define it as an Auto? I'm wondering how many shops are selling auto grass and how many are actually telling customers that it's auto....

Bala, def too late for me this season sadly... but want to spend the time thinking more consciously about what I want to grow next time. It'll be outdoor again. I don;t have much space and am thinking about some kind of training/shortening techniques. I want sativa but I don't want massive height or too long a grow time as much as I can help it.
