If you have to put it under 12/12 to flower then it is a photoperiod plant and not an auto. No exceptions.

Isn't one of the advantages of autos that you can give them more light energy and growing time allowing you to grow bigger buds?

I agree mr. piggy, but im not looking for autos that have to go 12/12 to flower im looking for a auto that will do well under a 12/12 photoperiod if i where to decide to grow photos with autos. 
auto seeds have ultra lemon haze that is a autoflower but says that it can grow under 12-16 hour light schedules also.

Yes and No, you want to give them as much light as possible to get the most out of you buds but if you have auto and a photo of the same strain the photo will almost always produce more even being on a 12/12 flowering schedule compared to 18/6 or 20/4 the whole growth of an auto. i get that you dont want to have to go to 12/12 to get an auto to flower or its not an auto but you can grow them under a full 12/12 cycle and im looking for the strains that does the best under those conditions, i ve got some good suggestions from yoda and couple other memebers.:Sharing One:
Unfortunately this isn't the case. An autoflower will begin to flower after 30 - 50 days of vegetative growth. You cannot extend vegetative growth, so any issues experienced during it will reduce yield. Research must also be done into the age of the autoflower strain, as many strains still available today use older genetics that flower rather quickly. This results in small plants with small yields. The new autoflower strains are much more impressive, but they still have a notable loss of potency. Unless I have not completely done my research, then you should always do photoperiod if you can control the light schedule.

Not if your as impatient as I am. That is why I like autos... I have the room, the time but no patience.
Yeah that's understandable, but given I bought the seeds as autos and they were advertised as autos they shouldn't require it anyway. I guess it's just when plants don't have a high Ruderalis percentage that they need to be triggered to flower. It's quite an interesting subject I think.
