What's the best option for a press? I have the thought to buy a 20 ton shop press. And get the caged plates. Is that the best option for a guy and his buddy to press some bad ass high terpenes and all that shit. From what I've read so far low temps and high pressure get the best results. So tell me what would be your idea to press some high quality shit?

No matter what you decide to do make sure to go pneumatic. Hand pumping sucks! Yes on the caged plates.

I'm brand new to this area and haven't even gotten my press I ordered yet lol.

That said here is my $0.02 and that's probably what it's worth.

Long story short your going to want plates that stay at even consistent temp that you can control obviously.

And something with more pressure then you will need and a way to gauge that amount so you can fine tune your process.

You really only have 3 variables. Heat, pressure, time. Well as far as choosing a press goes. So if you can measure and change those variables on your press then you're golden press wise.

Went with the 6 ton dabpress it says you can upgrade if needed. I haven't got the herb to really test it out till my my next harvest. Lots of vids on YouTub of it.

Oh man its killing me. I got a 4 ass monkey, and a Tyrone special going. They are this far along. Needless to say, the press is put away.
