Im wondering how small you can go with coco coir in fabric pots and still have great growth and development. I started at 5 gallon and moved down to 3 gallon with no diffrence in growth. But my roots are packed in and coming out all sides and bottom of the pot. Coco coir aint cheap and id like to stretch it out as far as I can so my question is how small is to small. And would 2 gallon pots make that much of a diffrence.

I'm getting ready to start my first coco grow so have been doing a little research. It sounds like if you are hand watering, it would be best to stay with a 3 gallon pot unless you are prepared to water multiple times a day. Many claim that to get a true hydro/coco experience smaller is better and anything over 2 gallons is a waste. The faster the coco dries the faster you can pump in more fresh nutes. An automated system seems best for this style growing. Im getting ready to do two plants in 6.5 liter pots with a drip system and two in 3 gallon pots hand watering to see which I like best.
