Old Reviews Best value on a Handheld Portable Vape

Salutations GreenSkell,

...handheld... ...with a bag...

M'well... Maybe it's not going to beat an Arizer but i vaguely realize the Vapir One 5.0 Digital Air probably happens to be the only candidate around that's actually corresponding to such specific description (!):

And judging from these photographs found via Google/TinyPic i can tell the owner must have felt something was missing, somehow...

Anyway, bags are 100 % portable by definition, evidently. One fundamental design limitation is the use of Hot Dry-Air as a release/transport agent when SuperHeat Steam could render everyone happy - except for bags as those would cause water condensation to be exact. Meaning bags are practically always dry, etc. Hopefully there will be sturdy/reliable/dependable best-buck-for-the-money portable/refillable/rechargeable table-deluxe-grade Volcano-balloon-compatible/Arizer-friendly Cannabis dry-flower vaporizers at a rebate price, eventually, etc.

:coffee2:

But...

Just for the sake of curiosity. Why not get a "Plan-B" in the meantime?...

Good day, have fun!! :peace:

I recently switched to an Arizer Solo for about $129 / Bought 4 short stems and rubber caps ... I have used an NO2 for a few years and still like it ... I have a couple vapes that didn't make the cut ... I like the Solo a lot and use it 99% of the time now ... no bag ... good battery ... my best vape sessions use less than an 1/8 tsp of weed ... even less than the NO2 ... I like the convenience of carrying a couple filled and capped stems for portability ...
:headbang:

Egzo -Thanks so much for the reply!! LOL at the last sentence...your initial suggestion is a unit that sounds like it would fit my needs...had a look on ebay and saw Vapir NO2 that looks exactly what I am after.

Chester - I am seriously considering the NO2...unless I can find a way to make my extreme q run in the car. Thanks for the info guys!

The car adapter I have for the NO2 does not charge the battery but it works great for catching a buzz ... The downside to the NO2 is they are not portable at all ... I have 3 x NO2s ... even when new the battery really did not do a good job of heating them up ... it will maintain temp no problem ... but it needs to be plugged in to heat even in a car ... for portability the Solo is hard to beat and you can get a car adapter ... I only use my NO2 now when my Solo is unavailable ...

Ahh that's disappointing...I was hoping it would be a good unit for smell free smoke around town and in the car. You have X3 NO2's? Why so many? Honestly if the solo had a bag option I would be sold as I love my extremeQ.

I have one at each of three residences so that I didn't need to carry it when I went to the other houses ... I don't consider the NO2 to be a portable ... works great plugged in a car or home and the battery, once it's warmed up will maintain the temperature for 3-4 bowls but I doubt I could get thru even one full session on the battery ... I can get 4-5 complete session out of a charge on the Solo ...

I love my solo and would highly recommend it. Check out the Zeus hard cover case on Torontovaporizer.ca for it. Might fill your needs. It's smell proof and water proof.

Thanks so much for the info chester. Considering the price I think I have to pass unfortunately. SO maybe my solution is a plug in power source for the full size unit to hook up to a cig lighter in the car. Friggin vapes sure are pricey!! ;)

Darth...as soon as I win the lottery I am buying a couple of solo's. :)

Salutations Chester,
Hi again GS,

...they are not portable at all...

M'yeap! That often verifies in real-life. On the photograph it sure looks "portable" but then one finds out a traveler's pouch comes as an option, then there are more options to pour in, etc. My pipe requires 1 butane gas bottle, 1 cannabis container, another for post-vaporisation by-product storage ideally, 1 tablet of strong gum, preferably 2 as i chew them by 3 to tame down congestion and sneezing (...), 1 picking tool (mine is from the Snoop-DogG box, etc.), 1 Modded VG Pipe with custom tubing extension(s), 1 right-angle butane blue "jet" lighter, preferably 2 in order to avoid over-heat (always buy them as pairs!), euh... Ah, and cotton pads plus a few replacement screens, and finally some nice-looking pouch, euh...

Sure it's portable. But i didn't even mention my ritual includes a rocking-chair and a table in my veranda, etc!... :rolleyes2:

So, in the end it seems to me "portability" doesn't need to be the #1 priority, depending on circumstances of course. As a matter of fact i'd go as far as to reason that shoping around with the #1 selection criteria aiming for "portable" vapes, balloon ones on top of that (!), could risk to make you overlook some decent options not totally incompatible with your preferences and skills.

Go figure!

Honestly if the Solo had a bag option I would be sold as I love my extremeQ.

Good. Talking about skills, i can gather from this statement above that you've got the lungs for full convection mode and no issues with electric-dry hot air release/transport of the noble molecules... Enjoy such nice fate!!

:toke:

In any case if you must have an Arizer then why not dream seriously of the "Air" series instead?...

:weed:

I'm ready to bet you'd find Arizer's glassware is just as good on the Air model.

Considering the price I think I have to pass...

Oh, big mistake here! It's not about money, the plan should be to find something to match your own personal needs before the rest, in physical terms i might add. When it works it works great and then the initial cost is recovered. But if one has picked the wrong machine then it can turn wasteful, on the contrary, etc... So i can only urge you to take whatever time you require to think this over clearly...

:goodluck:

...I was hoping it would be a good unit for smell-free smoke around town and in the car.

Then in that particular case i find apropriate to refer to the dedicated thread linked below:

Personally i think you should go for the full treat selling (soon) at the announced price-tag of 250 $ US. I don't even find that price range specially outrageous as that sounds pretty much like the norm these days. Just attempt to imagine you've tipped a doorman if that helps!

Unfortunately i came to consider there's no garantee of universal compatibility with Hot Dry-Air, not even with post-vaporisation in-line water-bubbling (as pictured above), i'm afraid! Yet i remain confident that's one suitable candidate to suggest here - if you don't intend to vape 'n drive, that is!

:redcross:

Yet, no doubt it's way much safer than smoking and i'll bet also one of the tastiest vapes if we can trust the rumours!...

:greencheck:

Actually this manufacturer used to have a favourable reputation relatively to taste, though it was acquired by some e-Cig company long after v2, as i recall. So it depends, if the previous design criterias have been applied to the new v3 as well then maybe you should consider using a few more weeks to reflect indeed!

Hummm... Can you handle glass in your car?...

Egzo... ...your initial suggestion is a unit that sounds like it would fit my needs...

That's possible, good luck with that quest!

Relatively to bags often enough there's the alternative of a negative-pressure (vacuum) balloon system. Those are even better as it eliminates the pump and its associated tubing from one's lungs path. As i recall it replenished my confidence greatly in a moment of eminent crisis!...

Honestly, i wanted to perform such operation right after my 1st try with the HerbalAire v2.1: the taste/smell, whatever... It was evident the brand-new synthetic material "tainted" my experience with hints of PVC tubing, etc., which was initially received as a shock considering the expen$e...

Oh, i do remember going into great lengths in order to solve that challenging puzzle - and i did manage:

Anything you could attach to this (or similar) would effectively support bags as well, except i found 2 litres soft-drink bottles don't offer a sufficient diameter in terms of capacity.

Good day, have fun!! :peace:
