New Grower bitch mumber 2. AF blueberry

I just have the PH down, just be careful with it - it's potent stuff. I use about 4.5ml in a 5litre bottle of water to get mine down from 7.8 to 5.9 (dont forget i'm in coco - yours needs to be 6.4 ..unless you have a soil ph issue) (or if i'm lazy and just doing my 2 litre watering can it's about 14 drops for me)

I occasionally mess up and put too much in and then have to amend by pouring in more (7.8ph) water - but that's not ideal as if i have carefully measured out nutes in my 5 litre bottle and i go too far down, i essentially have to dilute the mix with plain water.

I've considered getting PH up - but usually just go back to thinking "i'll be more careful"

So after my ramble lol - it's your call! but definitely need PH down ^_^

BTW.. the soil looks nice! it has a nice clean airy feel to it when you mix it doesn't it!

No probs I'll pick some of that up then tomorrow.
I'm gonna be more patient with this lady I think as I know its a proper auto Fem.

I'm sure there's nothing better than smoking something you've grown from scratch.. and hopefully it Will ease up my Rickity knee and shoulder joints from football injuries... OR soccer for all you American's :)

Edit: and yes that soil feels soo much more airy in contrast to my last batch which I'm now using for tomatoes and rocket veg..

Always does man.

Well got my ph level down from 7 to 6.4 by using... Wait for It....don't all shout at me at once...

Vinegar.... Few drops of vinegar in a litre of water and It's back to normal.

Also lowered my lamp right down so its only a few inches away

Peace.

wow! nice plant blue, an you basically flowered it under a 250 hps, that's amazeing.. ive been a indoor grower for quite a few years, long story short, I gotta scale down my grow a lot, gonna go into a closet an use a 250 hps, seeing your plant pic, an that she was flowered under a 250 hps, it has really inspired me thanks :)

Morning seasick ^_^ ..cutting corners again i see *wags finger" hehe

So i think that while vinegar works to lower the PH, i've seen plenty of reasons not to use it and only really one reason to use it (its cheap, and probably in your house already - okay that's 2)

The vinegar from your sarsons bottle is probably about 5% acid - where as nitric acid is about 33% - this means you'll need way more vinegar to get the same result that you would have got from a little bit of Nitric acid. PH down isn't expensive and lasts for ages and is pretty much universally tried and tested :) so eventaully you'll possibly have dropped more money on vinegar than you would have on PH down - just a thought ;)

Saw some good reasons not to use Vinegar in hydro (maybe not relevant for soil too) - but dont want to link to another site so if you need to see it google "why not use vinegar as ph down" :)

Don't burn your seedlings seasick - it might still be a bit early for 2 inches!! I wouldn't get that close until i had a few nodes going.

Check your soil ph buddy - PH in and PH out to find out. You'll rock this grow :)

Lift the light too, i can feel the burn from here hehe
^_^

Thanks Dungeon - although this isn't my thread ^_^ I'll be posting some pictures before chop (very soon) - they've packed on lots of weight since last time. 250 is fine for a small space, i've seen pro growers use em (in fact one of the founders of this site if i recall correctly)!! ^_^

I'll hopefully see you in my thread soon (sorry for the slight crossover seasick - hope you dont mind)

Ph of the soil is now 6.5 and I was just using vinegar this one time :) I'll get that other stuff while I'm out today at some stage... I may have exaggerated the 2 inches part thought... It's almost a good foot above it.

This lady is growing way faster than that other thing I got rid of also.. germinating quicker too.

I Will get a few pics up later and you guys can have a proper look at her..
I must get a name for her also.. any suggestions ?

Edit: not at all.. The more the merrier
