I have a royal dwarf about month old about 2in it has like black suff on the main stem. They are outdoors. I had to cover couple nights with trash bag due to frost. I removed and seeen it on there. I tried to see if maybe was alittle soil but wouldn't rub off. Any info to help would apprciate that. Ill post pic tomorrow of it thanks. Erm

If it's only on that one spot I wouldn't worry unless it gets worse.It could be some fungi or mold but I can't tell.Watch her and if it gets worse let us know.
Seems like regular black mold. This should dissappear when they get full sun. This was caused by the high humidity inside the bag. I should worry more about the white stuff on your leaves. Is that dried tapwater? Or is it mildew?
If it's glare or dried up water (or the calcium remaints of that water) there's no cause for worries. But if it's mildew, I suggest you move them to a sunnier spot and find something like a (biological) spray to cure it before it goes out of control. I've seen happy healthy plants die back within a week due to mildew, that's something I don't like to see happening again to anyone.

I really can't tell with this picture if it's just damage or a real mold problem. Can you try 'polishing' it off with your fingertips? If it's not hard and somewhat grainy (what I'll expect with residue from water or just damaged leaves) you might have a mildew problem. I'm from the Netherlands so I can't tell you what kind of sprays to use, we have a lot of different agricultural rules and the products around here differ in about every way from the products elsewhere. I know Ecostyle is quite an around the world supplier, but maybe there's something better in your local garden center. Mildew affects lots of different plants so I guess there's a 100% chance you'll find something to fight it with.
The more sun the better, these are C4 plants, which means they can't ever get an overdose of light. Just like corn. Also the UV-rays will help killing harmfull fungi. Also a plant in full sun has a better resistance to diseases. So there's more than just a few reasons to put it in direct sunlight.
