Hi All,

First grow log on this great forum and also my first go at auto flower seeds!
This is a soil and perlite grow.
I am using a 240 watt BlackStar LED from start to finish for this grow. Never used LED before so it is really interesting to me! Especially since i am growing with purple light!!!
They have been going for about three weeks now and some noob mistakes along the way means they are smaller than they should be...but they are growing and healthy and stinking up the room!

At this stage of getting back into the hobby of growing MMJ i am enjoying the journey and will arrive at my destination at no particular time!

Seeds are from Nirvana and are feminized.

To get everyone up to speed here is a quick break down of the grow so far.

28 October - Placed 5 X Auto Bubbelicious seeds in wet paper towels to germ.
29 October - Seeds have germed and are in pots.
31 October - 4 plants have broke the surface, only 1 was a no go.

13 November - Upcanned 4 seedlings into their final pot.
I was reading the other day that you should start Auto's in their final pot as they do not take kindly to transplanting.
Mine did not skip a beat, may try this on the next auto run!

I started feeding them with FloraNova Bloom but have since switched to the GH series of FloraGro, FloraMicro and FloraBloom.

And now onto the important stuff, pictures!!!

All 5 in their first small pots

A day or so later and they are poking their heads through the soil

3 days later

Another 3 days and i figure out the LED's are a bit too high as we have some good stretch going on here...

Another 4 days. The white residue was from a foliar spray that i stopped using since it seemed to be clogging the stomata...

6 days later they are looking quite nice!

Lots of side branches are forming

And a final group shot of the 4 Auto Bubbelicious and one Killing Fields in the centre of them.

I am not too sure about the feeding schedule for the ladies but i think i may have left it a bit late as some people have mentioned they are a bit small. To me they seem to be a good size for 18 or so days old.

I do not have any new pictures from today but comparing them to the last one i can see that there is some substantial growth over the past 2 days!

Any help or tips would be greatly appreciated!
:peace:

They look nice and healthy I wouldn't worry about their size, rapid growth should start any day now. Best of luck on your first auto grow I'll be along for the ride :smokebuds:

The grow room!

Thought i would add this to the journal.
I built my room in the basement, it is 11X8 fully sealed and insulated on all sides.
The vent goes out through a basement window and is also sealed.
Three separate power lines all on 20Amp breakers, so no lack of power!

Before some of the construction pics this is what is going on in the room at the moment.

Since that pic the bubbleponics kit has been decommissioned and replaced by a single WaterFarm unit. I am still trying to decide whether i like hydro or not...

The room took 4 days to build and was pretty easy to do by myself.
The hardest part was carrying 10 foot lengths of drywall downstairs!

Started with this

One wall of studs

A few more stud walls

Hanging the door

Putting up the drywall

A support i made to hold the ceiling drywall in place while i screwed it down

The room was mudded and sanded a few times and then primed and painted with flat white paint that has mould and mildew protection built in!

I have some mods in store for the room after my first grow is complete.
It will be sectioned in half to have a veg room and a flower room and maybe a small cloning area!

Hope you all enjoyed the pictures!

Not sure how to PM a mod for some help?

If possible could someone please move this thread to the "New Growers Forum"??
I saw a place for LED grows and thought it should go there...but finding the new growers forum i know it should be located there
so i can get more help during the grow.

Sorry for being too excited when posting...

Subd up bud, looking fine, no worries. Much luck through the rest:bong:very interested in watching this with your first go at LED, I am getting ready to switch to LED from hps.

Yeah I am pretty sure a mod has to move your thread. Lets see what happens if I try to call one, YOO HOO, Kindred you out there.:crying:Yoo Hoo, hereb4.
Hope that works for you..

HELL YEAH!!! On that build! I can't get enough of quality DIY rep+ my friend. Def will follow along, I have my eye on that light.

Look into bubble insulation Mylar from home depot or lowes, flat white is fine, but all that Mylar will make it look SWEET!

Superb grow room you have built there mate, looking forward to seeing you fill it with plants :smokebuds: iv also moved your thread as requested to the new growers forum

Nice looking stuff from A to Z!! Looks like you got everything well covered and well thought out! I also have a Bubblelicious grow going on now but she seems really small for her age. I'm hoping she picks up a bit soon or my yield will be tiny. Look forward to your grow updates!!

SWEET!!! Back in business in the correct forum!!!

Thanks for the trouble free move Red!!!

I am going to try my best not to take too many pics and go into the room too often... It seems that nothing is going on when i visit it too often.
But then i love opening the door and being greeted by an amazing aroma!:D

I will look into some Mylar from HD as well.
I think covering the walls and maybe building a partition to keep all the purple glow confined will help.

I am so happy i found this great forum!!!
