Lighting BlackStar The Manual

Yes, that is what it's designed for. I've vegged mothers under the 240 UV with no problems as well.

Cant wait, I have been looking at leds for a long time. Ive always been one to try different things.

Wonder why those small 450ish watt panels with the uvb bulb isnt on their site anymore, it looked delicious

Hey guys. What do you know about the new Ion 8 led light? It says its 1565 watts I believe? Do we know the actual power draw and does anyone have experience with this line yet?

hahahaha!!! Love the UVB cfl adaptation... Still waiting for my Retpi-glo 10.0 to arrive

Agree... waaaay too expensive for the actual power draw. 2 to 3$ per watt max

This one is 6,25!! wtf?

God damnit, half of my blackstar went out and it's not even two years old. I'm going to see how the company will deal with it.

This is my recently acquired Blackstar 240w HO UV I bought from a pawn shop for $95. They thought they were DJ lights!!
SUCKERS! :twist: At first I thought this was a 180w, but comparing it to the website appears to be a 240w HO as it has lots of orange/red light and the 2 UV in the middle. There is no definitive red and no blue. Tell me what you think; is this correct?

That's a 240. It's easy to tell what model it is. When you fire it up the light will be magenta or blueish. Magenta is flower and blueish is HO vege.

Well poop. I called up blackstar and they had me take apart the LED. Turns out it's the board and not the power source. They want to charge me 75 bucks to fix that plus shipping, which I'm not too pleased about. They advertise up, down, left, right and center about their LEDs being the highest quality on the market and how they'll last 50,000 hours(5.7 years) so I'd like to see them back that up.
