New Grower Blue Mystic First Grow

She's about 3 weeks old and 8" tall. Soil and CFL with organic feed. Hope the pics aren't too fuzzy.. How's she looks?

Color seems nice on the leaves so no deficiences, but they seem a little droopy like maybe overwatering?

Hi Wingman, Actually I think she's just a little thirsty. Her pot is light but I' waiting for the chlorine to off gas before I give her another drink tonight. I've also noticed her leaves tend to drop a bit near the end of the light cycle each day. From what I've read that is normal plant behavior so I'm not too worried, but I am wondering if her size is normal for her age and about the number of bud sites. I feel like she's doing good, but I don't have anything to compare.

This is something I actually considered but forgot to ask if the pictures were in the "night" or "day" for her, thats why I put a question mark behind overwatering. Some strains do "relax" and the fans hang low a bit more after sun down than others.

Looks good for the age considering it's a short strain. That whole main stalk should wind up as 1 big cola by the end.

Really?!? One big cola! She's been growing about 1/2"-3/4" a day for the past week so that would be awesome!!!

And thanks for the confirmation about the night leaf droop. I was really worried when I first noticed it and it seems to be a little more intense last time I watered so I'm going to watch her close tonight near lights off to see if she looks the same as she did last time I gave her a drink.

She's a bit small for her age but looks healthy ... number of bud sites is OK ... you're not using LEDs so your result will be a smaller plant ... I've grown many Blue Mystics ...they are a tough plant to hurt w/ a good buzz ... if she were mine she'd get 24/7 lights and close to full strength nutes ... if you haven't switched to bloom nutes yet wait a week ...

You may consider watering at lights on instead of lights off, it's a bit more efficient for the plant.

Hey Chester, I've noticed the tiniest bit of tip burn on her leaves which makes me think I've bumped up against the limit of what she can take right now, but I'm just guessing. What do you think?

Thanks for the reminder. I need to get better at planning ahead enough to allow 24 hrs to off gas the tap and allow enough time for tea to brew.

If you're at 1/2 strength now hold off a week before increasing ... if not I'd bump it up to 1/2 strength and see how they react ...
