Lighting Blue Onyx F1s!

I'll tell ya, just on his former rep, if he has got his shit right, and a couple of grows actually demonstrate that, I'd probably give him another run myself! Yeah, I'm a glutton for punishment.

Dude, how do you figure that?! Those blueberries were ordered from him direct! On his say so! Far as I know onyx is reputed to be his work also. I just crossed them. How does that render them "Plants he's never seen, bred by someone else."?? This is as much his work as anything else he's done. Seems like a fair take to me--! Besides, I think you'll find in my thread I've been nothing if not patient and fair with his guarantees, they just didn't pan out like he said so, so I said so!

Didnt you say hat then bluberry was grown by you, and pollinated accidentally by an onyx? Lol unless you are stitch or he picked those plants... That's all I meant, bud.
andthats how he produces seeds, he mails vials marked with letters and tellspeople to pick the best of three of one letter, reverse it, and pollinate all others. I know because I was hired to do so.
But... That's none of my business tho lol *sips cup*
By that logic this is DJ Short's last stand, and Short Stuff's last stand. Not here to argue but no, he did not breed those. You did. Sort of...
;)

No man, I didn't breed those blueberries, Stitch did! And, sure, I just happened to be the sap that trusted him and grew them out. And far as I know the original batch of onyx seeds I used were also supplied to Herbies by Stitch direct, at least that's what he said.

NO, I've never been one his 'breeders' and if you were--that's none of MY business (sips cup back)! As far as last stands: DJ Short and Short Stuff got nothing to prove--they don't have a shit-ton of dissatisfied customers, now do they??! So in fact you ARE arguing, because BOTH parent strains Stitch claims to have bred directly, I just accidentally crossed them -- and they've yielded great plants. So, if ya can't see the forest for the trees, let me be plain: this thread ain't intended to bash the guy but to show that though he went wrong, he didn't go that far wrong, because there's obviously still good work in that genetic mess--that he claims was his work directly!

I ordered direct from him last year, and they came from here in US somewhere close to me I think. There's just to many good breeders here on AFN now, I don't even look at his stuff anymore. But, I'm always interested in what South is up to, so I'll watch.

...Come to think of it, if that's how he produces seeds, even the originals he claimed could be anybody's work...but so long as he claims them as his own, I'll stick with the title of the thread, because, unless he gives credit to his 'grower/breeders', and he doesn't, I have no other choice...

Is that right bro? So Johnny is right about how Stitch breeds. Ain't no wonder shit went wrong. And yeah, tons of great breeders and strains here now -- and I'm very happy with those I've tried. Still, I'll take great plants wherever I find 'em, and this accidental cross yielded good plants. Oh, and ya know you're always welcome to peek over my shoulder man, like I peek over yours--LoL.

i may have been a little too cryptic trying not to open up the stitch can but yes that is exactly how he produces seeds. He also is quite volatile so I try not to say too much, as he refused to take his "breeding stock" back because he thinks im after him or something. I just don't want his weak ass breed stock for anything and would rather give it back
BUT
all I meant bro was you get some credit. You selected the plants and pollinated them and picked the beans. Just saying, that's more hands on work than the "breeder" put into those before you. Surely wasn't trying to stir you up my man.
He new line of supers was gonna come from four 32" square hydro tents in my cabin, from a reversed female from the "i" vial applied to females from vials "f, c, e, m, and g". Those would be sold as stock from him directly. The same goes for all other gear of "his".
not trying to bash but that's the truth man and I lost out too hard to keep lips tight about that guy.
anyway, im guessing these blue onyx will be huge based on that mom!!!

I buy some X strain seeds, pick a really nice mom from them, buy some Y strain, pick a good dad, cross the two, my work right? That's all i meant. You got the seeds from him. You also bred this strain. Accidentally but still im completely positive some of our favorite strains came about that way. Sure have found some gems myself on accident but doesn't mean I didn't grow the plants to do it after paying my dues for seed!
your blue onyx shall be epic, i predict
:-)

Oh, right. Don't I feel like an ass! So chances are some other poor bastard bred all the shit of his I still got he claims was his direct work... Still, I can't take credit for an accidental cross. And yeah, my bad; I caught on you weren't trying to stir me up bro, just waay down the thread is all (me and my fucking temper!). Wish I knew who actually bred the parents, I'd give 'em credit for sure.

Yeah, I get your logic now man. Curiously, the three of these I've grown out were all significantly different F1s, this batch all look identical so far. Hoping for a good result too.

Reckon I'll let the cat outta the bag here then: after this run I'ma throw my hat in the ring with all the others that have tried to breed a ducksfoot auto! I got an auto ducksfoot from Stitch that don't auto but it's serious ducksfoot, webbed to the max! Dunno how hard or how long it'll take but our friend bonobo's thread has given me a boner for this strain again. Seeing as he won't say if he ever plans to release his work, I figure with the help of some of our regulars at AFN we could pull it off in a reasonable time. When I got F1s of that I'll ask for help and we can all make it a collective effort. I'll see if I get any interest when the time comes....

I'm up for that too!
