Hi!

Was wondering if Boveda 65 is acceptable for curing/long time storage?
Thinking about the risk of mold being a issue.

I can only get a hold of 65 if I wanna keep my grow "stealthy", I know it's usually 58 or 62.

No. 62 is high for long term.once the cure has completed, if going to be put away for an extended time you need to reduce the moisture content further. I believe the article I read suggested down into the mid 40s. I'll see if I can dig it up... 65% is designed for a cigar humidor.

In my world, weeds never around long enough to worry about it!

I have had buds under storage at 65% with Boveda for 14 months now, with no ill effects. In fact the flavour just gets better. I did do my initial dry right down to almost crispy and let the Boveda bring it back up to the 65%....this was my attempt to avoid mould/fungus problems down the track. Also it is critical that the storage jars are squeaky clean to begin with...ask anyone who preserves fruit/ vegetables about this !!!!. I used the sterilising agent they use in beer brewing to properly clean my storage jars.

I have used boveda and they're great for rehydration but I wouldn't recommend storing long term with them as I found it effects the smell. That's my opinion on then but you have to try it out for yourself. I've got packs here but never use them
