Hey i was just about to create a box for 1 auto but the thing is Extractor/carbon filter issues. I dont think i will be able to get one. Does this mean i cant do it at all? Even if i have like 10 g il be happy

Also if i could wire something up to a PSU? im planning to use like 50 W cfl for it all the way through and i wasthinking if there a way i could hook up a CFL to a psu? somehow? or will i just have to get a lamp.

I have a little air vent in my room and if i was to open the windows every now and then would that be enough?

You can buy a carbon air filter for a furnace and cut a piece to fit over you exhaust fan but not to sure if those little fans move enough air to really be effective. Depending on the strain of plant you grow some do have lower odors than others. I plan on making a carbon filter for my little grow box but my exhaust fan will be much bigger than those small pc fans.

yEH but the thing is iv been looking at some extractor fans and they all fit into the wall or cieling or something. All i have in my room is an air vent which lets in tiny bits of air and windows. Could i do without an extractor fan and a filter?

depends on strain AND heat.
If you can manage to get enough air through your case, it wont smell that much.

I run with literaly no filter.

No filter either with auto purple and was low low odor/... and ona block is your friend

You need a good Ionizer. You should be fine with one you can plug into a light socket or adapter plug, they cost anywhere from $50-$200. Place it just outside of the case (assuming you have it enclosed in a closet or something similar) and let it fill-up the immediate area outside of the PC case, instead of putting it outside of the closet or enclosed area (do not put it inside the PC Case!).

I've never seen a truly effective Carbon Filter for a PC Case, Ionizers are your best bet.

hey my friend,im using a self made pc grow box and have no heat isues, try to put 1 single cfl as many wats as you can,i personaly use a single cfl 135w 5500k,and dont put any cheap fans in there.they only bring the noise up with not so much airflow, try to get some goog brand fans...
