Mephisto Genetics BR has Toof Decay! (And 24 Carat)

DAY 15

Finally! The first two weeks are over and we're standing on the verge of getting it on!

The pots are all to one side of the tent because I've only got the LED panel going right now; the left side of the tent is the HPS. Once I have both lights going, I'll be rotating the plants regularly to make sure they get equal amounts of light from both fixtures.

The two Toof Decays sure are outdoing the 24 Carats! On the other hand, all of them are at least a week ahead of my last grow, so all is good! By the way, with luck these will be the last photos I shoot with this old camera; I picked up a DSLR body from a friend cheap and am waiting on a (again, cheap) refurbished lens I ordered. I make no promises about my photos getting better, but at least I'll be able to work with a viewfinder again.

DAY 22

I love the third week! From scrawny seedling to a real plant in just seven days; it's like a ganja Charles Atlas course.
The odd color is me experimenting with light and such; don't mind it!

Here's an extra of her modeling her chic fur collar...

The 24 Carats have me a bit worried; they are really falling behind the Toof Decays.

Yeesh. We'll forget about trying to get fancy with the photos for now. I can't switch to the new camera because Nikon's software doesn't work with Windows XP. Yeah, I just realized how old this computer is...time to find a cheapie and upgrade.

The plants have had quarter strength nutes the past week; I'll be jumping them up to half strength now.

Here's a group shot showing both lights in action. If anyone is thinking of mixing hps and leds like this, be forewarned: there's nothing more unhealthy looking than a plant under HPS when you're wearing Method Seven LED glasses!

DAY 27

Holy shit. First of all, my thanks to the kind generous people here who followed my first grow and told me how great I was doing: you were all full of it. (But I did need the encouragement; the thanks are sincere!) I kept reading things about plants "exploding" and such, and thought it was an exaggeration, but I figured I'd better get a photo up of how much these have advanced in five days; they might not fit after a full week! The Toof Decays are already as tall as my Sour Cracks got in the whole grow.
It's nice to have plants with all those odd things others talk about. You know, things like branches and actually taking up nutrients. Speaking of which, there's a bit of damage at the tips of a few leaves; I assumed nute burn and cut back to quarter strength nutes for now.
I pulled them out and examined them with a magnifying glass and all are showing sex. You know how old eyes are. Or if you don't, you will. I think I just might beat my half ounce single plant record...

Just a group shot today; I'm exhausted-I managed to feed and water 'em, but that's all I have the energy for tonight.

Damn, there's the meter stick right there; I spent five minutes trying to find the thing. Kids, just say no to Sour Crack!

Okay, I lied; they aren't that tall yet. My guess is about six in the morning...

By the way, I just looked back and noticed that the Toof Decays are on the left hand side of the tent in EVERY SHOT. Believe me, they get rotated regularly; counter-clockwise every watering. I don't want anyone to be misled by the combination light set-up.

Edited to add: but that's impossible; I must have confused a day or two. Obviously I don't grow this stuff just to look at pretty flowers...

Ummm....I guess I found some energy. Anyway, I kept looking at those 24 Carats and how those huge leaves (in comparison to the size of the plant) were blocking everything and too big to tuck and....I went psycho on 24. Hope I didn't hurt her...

DAY 31:

Just a group shot tonight; I think I'm getting lazy. Actually, I'm just getting frustrated with trying to focus this damned pocket camera, but that's another story. 24, the baby of the bunch is now sitting on a box of mason jars to get her up to the level of the other plants. Judging by the height of my plants at this point, I think it's safe to say there's still a lot more to learn, but I should do well enough to supply my smoking needs. Speaking of which, early buds are poppin' out all over the big girl now (currently back right). She looks like she's going to be the star of the grow, but then that's what I though about my 'early performer' last grow, then saw the other plants pass her by. If that happens this time, I'll be putting baggies of weed on porches like zucchini.
