Mephisto Genetics BR549's Grow = Sour (Hound+Bubblin' Crack)

DAY 28: We're moving right along now. Daily feedings, with 1/6 strength Fox Farms nutes, 1/2 tsp Armor Si and now 3mg of Cal/Mag, all in a gallon of vintage water, split four ways. No dessert!

My new 3X3 GG tent arrived today; the main front zipper tab breaking off in my hand was the last straw. I'm going to try to finish out the grow with this POS tent, but then it's in the trash. I've got the front taped up sorta, with sheets and towels covering the light leaks.

DAY 36: The first problems of the grow has popped up. Here's some photos. Dying leaves at the bottom...

...and fading edges at the top:

Now, I could start going through the site, doing google searches and such, to figure out exactly what nutes I'm short on, but since the obvious culprit is that my theory that 1/6 strength nutes was enough if fed every day is BS. I upped the levels to last grows 1/3 today. Still 1/2 tsp silicate and 3ml of cal-mag.

Sour Hound #1: This is the poor girl who modeled the bad leaves above. Hopefully more food will get her perked up; she's really doing well. She hit 29 cm at yesterdays 'weigh in'.

Sour Hound #2: She has an odd problem of her own, although the deficiencies are starting to show up here as well. Apparently I missed her pretty much every "pot rotation day", so now one of her branches is her main cola, and the plant just kind of grows to one side. It's kind of cute, and helps out in tent layout. It's kind of like that crazy aunt you have that thinks shes a chicken; you could pay for therapy and help her, but you need the eggs... Her high point is 25 cm.

Sour Bubblin' Crack #1: She's sitting at 25 cm as well, having caught SH#2 as the stretch started.

Sour Bubblin' Crack #2:
She's trying to be the show-off of the tent, leading the pack at 31cm.

DAY 45: Sorry I haven't been around lately, guys; it's been a rough week at work, and that affects my health, and it all goes downhill. I'm not up to a full photo set this time around, but I figured I had to at least get a tent shot up. The girls range from 34 to 41 cm tall, which I'm delighted with, considering the side-branching promotion work. Here they are; as you can see, SH #1 in the top right still is showing signs of her starvation diet in week four, but she's looking a lot better than she did. Fox Farms users, check week number four on the soil chart and divide by three for this weeks nutes, plus the same levels of Cal-Mag and Armor Si, of course.

SBC #1: "We don't got to have no steenking flowering nutes!"

Hopefully a better update to follow next week...

That's much appreciated; I'm afraid my "photography learning curve" isn't going quite as well as my "growing learning curve"!

DAY 49: Okay, I'm getting back in the swing of things and have photos this time around Nutes are the same as before except I'm now up to 1/2 strength. Same as before on Cal/Mag and ArmorSi. Fox Farms users can follow along by switching to week 7 on the soil chart, which means *tada!* we're now into the Beastie Bloomz and full flowering attack!

Either it's time for a new filter, or these babies reek for this stage of their lives. Or both...

DAY 56: The girls are starting to look a little ragged; no beauty contestants here. Still, the buds are plumping up and looking fine, so no complaints for me. Nutrients are the same except today was the switch from Beastie Bloomz to Cha-Ching, and I increased the Cal-Mag to 5mg per gallon rather than 3. There's an extra shot of the base of Sour Hound #2. That's the one that was bent over before I realized it; you can see what it did to the base. Still, it ended up with two main colas rather than 1. (Have I ever mentioned how much I hate the word "cola"? I have no idea where it came from, but I'll bet a weeks pay it was because a bunch of idiots couldn't pronounce the spanish "cholla" and it stuck.) Anyway, here's this weeks photos.

Sour Bubblin' Crack #1-the shortest of the plants, and the biggest of the buds-go figure:

Sour Bubblin' Crack #2-the largest of the plants and the smallest of the buds. I think this one is just slower than the rest, but we'll see.
