Bought the Mephisto auto elite fem pack from seedsman and it came with 2 free sour crack seeds.

Tested out the freebies first outdoors with light warrior soil mix and the babies burned or heat stress or something else?

I'm scared to germ the 3 pack now, don't want them to end up same way. I think these seedlings are toast.

You got free Sour Crack seeds! Lucky guy.

Hard to guess from one photo out of their whole life, but it kinda looks like they dried out and some of the leaf died off to conserve water.

They can recover. If you have the space then I would keep growing them for the experience even though they might yield a bit less. I hope you don't mind if I ask the basic questions:

What are your temps next to the leaves?
Do you you have a moisture meter?

Over watering seems to be the most common problem for plants. Also known as giving them too much love.
If the soil is too wet it can take a week or more to dry out. *If* it is too wet then I think you might want to repot them in dryer soil.

Good photos, easy to see your plants.

Not sure about exact temps but lately the weather has been 90-103 deg f

No moisture meter, but ya at first I thought maybe it was nute burn since I've been watering my other plants with a bit of fish emulsion so I tried to flush the soil hence why it's so wet.

But now that I think about it, my other plants have a bit of dried up leaves now too, so it could be the heat wave we've had :(

Here is an album of all the plants I'm growing, the sour crack were planted a few weeks after the bigger cream caramel and grapefruit punch, I also had one called pink lady that topped itself right after sprouting and is looking pretty burnt also

Here is my Sour Crack at Day 9. Almost fully recovered from heat and light stress 4 days ago.

White printer paper for mulch,
Yellow sticky paper for bugs,
cheap moisture meter,
Temp / Humidity meter with daily highs and lows.

I think 93F is too hot for ideal growth, that was only briefly until the Air Conditioning turned on. Some people would say 88F is too warm but I am experimenting with warmer temps during vegetative growth.

So all of my girls definitely got heat stress, this summer has been record breaking heat for the month of June, hopefully the heat wave dies down.

Maybe I should move them all to get afternoon shade, I had them in the middle of my south facing backyard on the deck so they got blasted with full sun all day.. I just figured if I kept them nice and watered they'd be fine.. My first foray into outdoor growing though so I guess now I know

It seems that Cannabis plants CAN tolerate higher temps, but above 90F they start showing signs of stress: slower growth & diverting energy into making heat shock proteins. Above 95F they seem to be unhappy. If you are growing outside the sun on the leaf can raise temps above 100F! The plant is spending all its energy transpiring just to stay cool. I think Sativas tend to be more heat tolerant than Indicas.

I think plants can tolerate higher air temps if their roots are in cool ground. But you are growing in pots, the pots might be overheating in the direct sun, cooking the roots.

You might consider some shade cloth, the plants can only utilize about 30% of direct midday sun. So shade cloth directly over head should not slow your growth.

But, there are people here with a lot more experience than me. I just thought I would try to help while we wait for the experts.

I might be wrong about this, but I think seedlings don't need ANY nutes for their 1st week above ground. They have all the food they need in their seed. What they need is clean water, and the less stuff dissolved in the water the easier the plants can absorb it. Maybe I will test this on my next grow: put the seeds in pure unfertilized peat moss with only reverse osmosis water. But Mephisto seeds grow so fast.... maybe they are different

Dynagro protekt or similar product might help with heat stress. Just throwing out an idea.

As far as nutes go very light. I've read wait until 3 sets of leaves and 1/2 strength or less first feed.

Absolutely, especially for outdoor plants since Silicon also helps plants build a tough skin that is harder for bugs to chew through, and stronger stalks so plants can tolerate higher winds. And it works as a surfactant (it lowers surface tension making water "wetter"). And you can use Silicon to raise Ph. And it is cheap stuff. I use it every time I water my plants.

I should be a Silicon salesman.
