Went to the local grow shop. Picked up some Bush Doctor Coco Loco. It has composted forest humus, coco coir, perlite, earthworm castings, fossilized bat guano, Norwegian kelp meal, oyster shell and dolomite lime (for pH adjustment), as well as beneficial bacteria and mycorrhizae. The coir used in this soil is triple washed to ensure a quality product with low salt content.

I've been using Fox Farm Happy Frog/Perlite.

Coco Loco is going into SmartPots; indoor micro grow.

Has anyone tried this product and if so what's the story.

Subbed. Looking forward to seeing how you do. I've mostly been using FFOF. Tried coir last summer but it was a disaster, I needed more information than I had, couldn't figure out what was wrong before they crapped out, and am not sure if the medium I had was a good one. But I want to try it again, maybe with wicks into the bottoms of the pots. Like the ingredient list on the Coco Loco.

Have you grown with SmartPots many times before?

Sounds like nice soil but I'd still use about 1/3 perlite ... 'The looser the soil the faster the start' ... :gthumb:
What seeds are you planning to grow ... :Sharing One:

All my micro grows have been in SmartPots. I wouldn't grow without them. They can be washed out and reused over and over again. My last grow was in one gallon SmartPots and they grew beautifully.

This soil is very similar to FFHF. It has coco coir instead. All the other good stuff is in there too.

My nest grow will be Swiss Cheese. I've had the seeds for less than a year now. I wanted to do an outdoor grow with them.. That's not an option now. I realize they will be on the stinky side in flowering. That will not be an issue.
