Cal/mag

..keep your Ca input up bro',... recall, coco's odd CEC properties make it a Ca hog, and will bind it strongly to itself, beating out the roots for it, until it's sated, then the Ca is released more readily,... Ca uptake in coco is better at 5.8 or a bit below, relatively speaking, so to treat your defc., running a bit more acidic for a while can help,..I'd say this is just a plain lack-of type defc., so up that dosage, mate!

Run-off was 5.3pH so I think that maybe pH was too low for it to intake. I have watered tonight at 6.2pH hopefully raising that soil pH a little to 5.8pH range. Also backed off the feed from 15mL/gal to 10mL/gal as she's got some nute burn.

...good! Ca defc. can be bitchy to fix sometimes,.. it's poorly mobile within the plant, so tapping into other fans is pretty much out! it has to take the fresh stuff in and move to where it's needed...Symptoms won't reverse, so lust look to see if symptoms halt,...:greenthumb:

Very nice plant. Looks like a familiar strain?

Great coco advise. Yes, calcium and the mag/k interplay seem to be the big issue in coco according to ole Jorge Cervantes. I use to be a low end feeder now raising PPM/EC as outlined in Canna Coco feed chart and coco info from Jorge's book. Better results--surprised!

My plants have been drifting back and forth with same. In fact, early on with one plant effected only top portion of plant--all cosmetic--like yours. I don't know what the deal is with yellow tips--only those in perfect environments with just right feed etc. get thru a coco grow without--blemishes--think it comes with territory.

The good thing is calcium is semi-mobile so the lock out does not stop the plant in its tracks.

Keep tinkering with PH. Mine has been low PH run off. However, Canna Coco says--it is not definitive in coco that is--runoff is misleading in coco (that is what I recall) yet I still check weekly for it gives us an understanding of how PH adjusting is working. All in all keeping within hydro/soilless margins 5.5 to 6.2 is safe. Like you try to keep 5.8 to 6.0 and let drift some over the grow. Mine appear to have been dropping in PH rather than going up--which is different then soil lock outs (once again if recall most lock outs i soil are too much alkalinity).

Sometime soon, we can get a thread started about this particular coco issue.

Coco is fun!

Cheers

Don't believe anybody mention LEDS. Are you using them

I have feed up to 10 ml per gallon (mind you i also use RO water) and I still get some Ca issues into late flower. I use An ph perfect but still check the Ph from time to time always at 5.9

I'm hoping this problem doesn't slow her down from really packing on the weight I'll be upset....

You will be fine dude. My Dec bom win netted me just over a Pound she barely had a green leaf left all were crispy. I waited to late to fix, that's when I started dosing 10ml per gallon.

Your ladies look wonderful and you are nipping it the butt. You will rock this:headbang:
