As in sales pitch?
They claim to throw them away. They seem like really honest people, who knows. They told me all of the pros and cons of everything and what they run. I went with advanced because of the overwhelming amount of people backing them.

Advanced ive heard good things with. Like i said ive been considering using the base nutrients from their organic line "iguana juice"

Here is the low down on retail grow store sales. All area dynamics are the same. Everyone in each operating area, gets the same cost but have a little wiggle room on the retail, with NO sending products back at a wholesale refund from the supplier. SO, the grow store can sell it at a discount and highly doubt they would actually throw nutrients away. They wouldn't be in business very long doing that and it destroys bottom line profits. Besides, they would have to pay to take it to a dump/landfill and pay the added money to dispose of it, being considered a toxic chemical. Too much money involved. On a set of AN sensi A&B they actually make about 10-12 dollars of profit on it. I, as a business owner, would rather get something for it by discounting it, than get nothing for it, by tossing it. Just my 2 pence.

Yea clearance rack for sure. But the problem with sales is that its all about playing on your sensations. Making you feel you need a product or that everyone else is using it (herd mentality)or a sense of urgency (limited time sales) . The local hydro store where i live is just a bunch of old stoners. Literally every product i use they no longer carry or are going to stop carrying but they all grow. And they never have suggested a single product. Not sure how that works for sales but i dig the environment for sure. Reality is factory direct or internet are the best ways to purchase usually. Websites like growershouse even offer a service called price waiter where you can make an offer lower then advertised price and they will meet with you at a lower price. Id recommend always doing your homework before buying into hype. But logic and reason your way to a conclusion.

I love growershouse! Used the price waiter a few times too! In fact, thats where I copied the info on the OG veganic tea!!
Also, dont forget to ask your grow store if they have any free samples to try. Alot of them just take em home and use em for free nutes, but it doesn't hurt to ask. Also, home and garden shows in the spring are a good place to get free samples too! House and Garden have a "free" starter pack to try. It costs 25 bucks, mainly for shipping and you get quart bottles of the base and small bottles of the additives. It even comes with a small bottle of roots excellerator and that alone is worth the 25 bucks! There are older threads you can look at in the fertalizer thread for a list of freebies from certain companies too. Things are out there, you just need to do some digging!

Youd be surprised what a friendly email will do too. It never hurts to make a new contact or business relationship. I had got most of my lights from there at a great price. And i can use paypal credit to buy my nutrients then pay it off within 6 months interest free.. works awesome given the life cycle of the medication.
