Lighting Can 400w thru 10 clu048-1212's fuck with a 1000w hps?!

Looks like the hps and a resident heat wave toasted the central ac blower at my spot...... I've been waiting on some thermal pads to finish my assembly of my water cooled cob set up....but now I'm forced to use kaptom and paste.....I think I'll throw one unit all taped up in until the other parts show. I've been fucked since my shoulder surgery and have been scraping by in the garden.. .... Thank God for blumats and the old hippie I'm sharing with.
So the question is self explanatory. Can 400w split between 10 x 1212's handle the girls until I can bump up the juice to 700-800w in a 4x8 tent 2/3 full?
 
I am sure it will get you started, maybe even finished. You really cannot judge COBs by watts these days. It does sound like enough lights to cover and at about 40 watts ( I know I just said watts are not a measurement, argh...) each they will be quite bright. I am running about 220 watts with four 1812s in a 4x4. The only thing I am planning on adding is UV and far red.

I know that wattage vs light out put is drastically different..... even lumens vs par. I always end up comparing lumens... even though I Know better
..... I think I will be fine, my first grow was under cobs and was still some of my best smoke grown.
 
I've got the AC fixed but temps are still close to 90f. girls are holding up to it but I've got some serious leaf seration. I imagine it would look twice as good around 75f....

I did a god awful tape job one handed and never thru it up. My thermal pads finally showed!!!!! hopefully have it together soon
 
Yeah I remember him from either icmag or riu when the cob scene was new .... he's doing good things last I checked
 
It's alive!!!!! Just a trial run before it gets swapped w the hps in the tent.i have 2 sets of 2 drivers. 1 set is generic 400w Chinese 36v x 11amp w external cooling fan mods. The other are 350w mean well 36v x 9.8amp. The Chinese are stronger and run cooler but may die sooner.....so I'm keeping the mean well as back up.

I'll get better pics whenever it's finished and installed

So I think I'm gonna try 400w x 20 clu048-1212's to start off and ramp up from there after our triple digit heat wave let up . IDK what kinda lumens per watt that is but it's still fucking blinding. At 800 watts it throws off photons that heat the air and is impossible to make a shadow puppet under LoL.
