New Grower can I use this pH up and down with organic soil

I was making sure I could use this general hydroponics with organic potting soil 20140913_183836.jpg
 
You could but at that point it's not organic as the chem's kill the micro organisms...What works well for me is White vinegar To go down and Baking Soda to go up..and it wont kill your micro's. And remember you ad that to your water not to your soil and be ginger a little bit go's a long way!

Your first grow? I got a few things that I just knew I'd need, and haven't used yet! When I think about it, I still feel like :face:
 
With organic soil the amendments you add to the soil should balance out any pH issues on it's own. I even think that if you don't have concerns about your water there is no reason to deal with pH at all with living organic soil. Just throw away the pH meter. Alright well maybe keep it for piece of mind but... no need anymore.
