you talking about in WITH soil or casting alone in a pot? I would not do that castings alone in a pot. especially if its fresh,its wet and will mat and not breath nowhere near what it'll want. it'll prolly grow though if it dont die out from lack of O2. but too many castings in a soil is called imo a heavy soil. less aeration occurs similar to what I mentioned a second ago. so yes to answer your question. there is such things as too much. now top coating and layering can be a lot heavier fyi.
 
Yessss.. Earthworm castings have a small amount of nitrogen. When I mix it into soil, i use 3 parts soil to 1 part castings.. Or put an inch or so as a top coat to the soil. Some use a layer of it at the bottom of the pot, kind of like super soil, so the plant gets an N boost in flower. But you can definitely use too much of itm
