Just wanted to know if anyone is using the CANNA soils and what did they think?
Im trying to choose one for my next grow either

Canna Professional or CANNA Professional Plus




Will these mediums be too hot for seedlings??
It doesnt seem to claim if its a hot or light mix.

So for those of you who are interested in using the CANNA line for your growing medium here is what I found.

CANNA Terra Professional


Canna Terra Professional Soil Mix comes in two types - an all round pre-fertilised soil and a truly exceptional superior soil growing medium. Specifically designed for use with Canna Terra and Canna Bio Nutrients (although exceptional results can also be achieved using Bio-Bizz nutrients), both of these soil mixes are sure to provide fantastic results for all who use them. Canna Terra Professional is the approximate equivalent of Bio-Bizz Light-Mix, having moderate nutrient content as well as good structure, aeration and drainage.


CANNA Terra Professional Pus



Canna Terra Professional Plus is something quite special that organic connoisseurs and expert growers are sure to love. Made from highest quality white peat and organic bark, Professional Plus has outstanding structure and drainage along with valuable trace elements and chelates to ensure consistently healthy growth. Also i thought i might post this,
I emailed the guys at CANNA about their seedling mix. Wondering if it was needed for starting your seed in Canna pro plus.

Thank you very much for your question!

Canna Seedmix is a Terra for small pots, to germinate seeds (< 1.0L pot). It is more wet, so there is a good contact between the substrate and the seeds.

If you saw your seed directly in a big pot (> 1 litre pot), you need the normal CANNA Terra Prof. Plus.
But the chance they all germinate is a bit lower and the difference in germination time is a bit wider.

So professional seed (ling) companies don't want to loose these seeds (money) and like to predict their germination time. They also want to do this on a limited amount of sqm
So they use small pots with CANNA Seedmix.
