Forbidden Jelly

Im beginning to hover over this garden. We'll Im basically almost literally watching the plants grow. Im starting a photo/paper journal and Im taking daily pics along with notes on how the plants look, growth rates etc. I wanna try to get a little more technical so I can get as close to the water only thing. I'll probably end up posting a lit of useless stuff.

Making my week one post today (Friday) working a 12 hour shift tomorrow and Saturday so I know I'll forget.

Everything is par for the course right now, both plants are pumping out their 2 node. Healthy and green, the Forbidden Jelly seems to be a little ahead, 2nd node is almost fully formed where as the Slurricane #7 is basically just beginning to form the 2nd node.

Pots are still plenty heavy so no water.

I know I made my post early Friday morning for the week 1 milestone but today is technically the week 1 so I thought I would upload some pics before I forget.

These 2 girls are looking great. Honestly in my opinion the best 2 looking seedlings I've ever popped. Im sure its not because of the change in nutrients just yet, but to be fair they have been cooking in there for almost 3 weeks so definitely broken down a bit by now.

Now that we are getting into vegetative growth I raised the light up to about 3/4 of the max height and am running my light at 40% power now. Photone with a paper diffuser said about 250ppfd. I want these to stretch just a bit. With the last run being so short and dense it made defoliation and trimming a pain so Im gonna try and keep the light a little weaker and have the girls reach for it this time. I also fired up the dehumidifier and its set to 60% which keeps the tent in the low 60% range which is fine. Ignore vpd, have not taken leaf temps for that to be accurate.

The girls are really taking off. I know its only been 3 days since my last update but I noticed something I wanted to take note of with the Forbidden Jelly.

What Ive noticed and so far its only on the 2nd set of true leaves is that they are 3 finger leaves but the middle finger is perfect but the 2 outer fingers appear a little mangled and off color. Hard to see in pictures but they have a very yellow undertone to them. She's still growing at the same rate right now and the next set of leaves looks ok. So just making note of it in case I see it in the future.

Pots were getting light so I added a half gallon of ph 6.5 water to each.

So the forbidden jelly is showing some unsavory signs. Mottled spots and leathery like leaves. Im thinking its septoria spot disease, not quite sure.

Forgot to take pics but now that the next node has fully formed the newest set of leaves seems to be very contorted. Very curled down much like the leaves below just to a greater degree. Im starting to wonder if my Veggie garden nutes had too much calcium for this strain. Other girl great, this one not so much. I misread the label when I ordered its a 5:1 ratio between calcium and magnesium in that mix so theres probably too much for it to handle. Im leaving it alone for now, if she gets worse I will start a foliar spray of Epsom salts till she balances out
