Cannabis Seeds
Spots happen. What you are seeing on these leaves is already 'oid.' Newer tissues being healthy, active growth, and anything bad noticed not spreading are what matters most. Among many other things happening, the young plant has to transition from getting nutrients from the seed to using newly grown roots.

Don't add epson salt to attain an idealized Ca:Mg ratio if you already have excess salt/calcium! The soil has more than enough Ca and Mg for this young plant, probably enough for all or most of the grow. [Isn't it normal with Happy Frog soil to go for weeks without any feeding?].

It is normal for about 30 days. But I posted a thread about switching to organic dry nutrients and waira told me it would be ok to add a weak charge of the stuff I bought right from the get go, and I did, roughly about half the reccomended amount that the instructions say but I misread the label thinking it said 3% calcium but its 5%. What Im running is Down to Earth Vegetable Garden for veg. Its npk ratio is 4-4-4, and I mixed it in about a week prior to prepping the pots and dropping the seeds so I wonder if it has become too hot now...

Definitely, follow whatever Waira advises! Mine were mostly general comments about not to be too concerned about the very first set(s) of leaves (if there is good healthy growth happening), and as a general rule don't add more nutrients/salts to counteract an excess of another nutrient/salt.

Otherwise, just because idealized ratios of nutes are not reported on a label doesn't mean the ratios are off in actual use, particularly with soil. For ex., the Ca and Mg could be in different forms with different solubilities and plant uptake rates.

Waria did say 444 was a little hot and the nitrogen might carry over to flower but I plan on vegging these girls for 3 months so hopefully it will eat it all up

When I tried Happy Frog for a few plants in 2 grows, I diluted it with about 1/3 coco, added ~20% perlite, and started half dose feeding after 2-3 weeks; by bloom I was feeding full dose (same as fed to plants in coco). This worked for me at the time. The plants and buds grown at the same time in coco/perlite were comparable at harvest.

Veg Week 2 New
Today marks the end of week 2

Im gonna start breaking down info for each plant separately instead of giving the run down for both all in 1 paragraph.

Slurricane #7 S1

She appears to be doing phenomenally. Not counting the first set of true leaves shes is working on the 3rd node and side branching is well under way. Figure I will be topping her by this time next week. Bag has some heaft to it still so I probably won't add any water today, but I will tomorrow regardless if its lost any weight or not. Its about half its saturated weight right now. Leaves are a little contorted but thats normal for Happy Frog around this time, at least in my experience, other than that this girl is just cruising along. Seems to really enjoy being alive and growing.

This girl is still struggling a bit. Thinking this strain is a light feeder and thats why she isn't as robust as the other girl. Bag is significantly heavier than the Slurricane so she will not be getting water till probably Tuesday at the earliest. She is starting to come around though, no more spots showing up newest set of leaves looks great other than some minor downward clawing but I think part of that is I overwatered her, so I'm letting her dry back, probably till the stems start to droop a little bit. But good news is that it didn't seem to stunt anything shes just as far along as the Slurricane just smaller all around.

Thanks for stopping by.

Just making a quick post. Just over 2 weeks in and these girls are pretty beastly compared to previous grows at 2 weeks. I know a lot of this has to do with genetics but even growing Forbidden Jelly before and it wasn't this far along. Idk if its a mix of the organic ferts and genetics but these plants seem to love what Im doing.

Light is hanging at about 30inches right now set at 50% and delivering about 350-400ppfd at canopy level as of yesterday. These girls are in full veg and I want so internodal spacing so Im keeping the light on the weak side for now. Before I moved the light and increased the power they were getting roughly 200-250ppfd.

Watered the Slurricane yesterday with about .5 gallons of 6.6ph water with 2tsp of fox farms KMKY (kelp me kelp you) I wanted to throw some kelp in the pot to help with side branching and if Im not mistaken it provides food for the microbes so I figured help them since they are responsible for feeding my plant. Will be doing the same to the Forbidden Jelly when she drys back enough.

No pics today, not much of a change since Saturday evening other than the leaves are praying on both plants now. So Im sure the water and kelp helped them a bit.

Edit:

Couldn't help myself, I took pics today. Like before left is Forbidden Jelly right is Slurricane #7 S1
