Hello folks, Where i live i can't seem to find a carbon air filter, but i saw some engine - car filters that look very similar, would that work in a grow tent ?

Engine filters are generally for particulate matter

You need a filter with activated charcoal in it to absorb the odors. I've made my own and posted in DIY section a while back.

thank you so much folks, and is a 4 inch fan n carbon filter okay for a 48x48x80 ?

What is the cfm of the fan? That is what you look for not size. I use phresh filters they are excellent, on their site they have a calculator for tent/room. Enter your dimensions and it will tell you what cfm you need.

yeah they're excellent choice, but a bit expensive, but if they last for long then it would be worth it, cause i'll be ordering overseas, so it will cost me alot if i keep ordering stuff, also i don't have a fan yet, any recommendation for 48x48 would be great, and i'll check out their website now,
