Just caught up! Nice cabinet. My first grow was a DIY box and temps were a bitch to deal with. I ended up just putting a fan in front of it and leaving it open...but I didn't get all crafty with the intakes and such. So bravo!
One way I keep humidity up is to take a shallow dish and put an inch of plain pearlite in it and keep it wet. The porosity of the pearlite allows it to hold a bunch of water and let it evaporate into the air. It's a super easy and cheap way to bump the RH up a bit. It's worth a shot at least
I have a creme mandarine going in my garden at the moment. She's just kicking into flower now. You can peek at her in my grow log. I'm looking forward to her for sure. I'll be watching yours"

nice diy cab bro! your gonna have a good turn out! i had some hot temps and low humity i just stuck a big block of ice in room, cools down temp and when it melts is makes humidty rise!

Sup Darwin, thank's man i was under the impression building a can and some adjustable fans everything would be easy but i was so so wrong
That said i seem to have them under control and its mainly just humidity that's a problem now, will definitely grab some pearlite and give it a go every little helps
I cant wait to see how the mandarin turns out and i'll be subbing to your grow the second i finish writing this!! can't wait to see it :head:

Thanks dude! I really hope it goes well, so painful waiting for the seeds to come up lol.
My temps seem to be really nice rite now and i'm not even using my intake fan and i'm getting mid 70's-low 80's and mid to low 60's at night with intake fan off and extraction fan turned down (Multi voltage plugs are amazing)
Its funny you mention that idea, my dad actually mentioned it to me the other day and i ain't tried it yet so definitely work a go! :thumbs:

I taught big smoke to freeze a 2 liter with water and cut the plastic off and put a plate under it and it worked pretty good for him! I p don't ever allow my self enough room for all that cause if I have room for a ice sculpture I have room for another plant! straight up! Lol

Haha nice to see the knowledge, i have actually been thinking along the same lines of the more soil in there the more humidity so i think ill be placing an order for some more seeds next week.
Probably going to go for Barneys Pineapple Express / World of Seeds Afghan Kush Ryder / Short Stuff Automatic Blue Himalaya / Delicious La Bella Afrodita(free seed) and add some more light also if i can

I tell you this cause its a sweet deal! On herbies seedbank check out the sweet seeds sweet skunk! I'm growing them in my thread. If your in a pinch as far as money goes but ya need seeds, best route! Awesome yield and great potency! And you can get them for less than 7 bucks a piece! I'm putting in an order next week for 20 of them for 122$! And there all fem! And they aren't too tall for your cab!

I'm gonna pick me up some Dutch passion blueberry! Rob wars bb made me fall in love!

And yes that wet soil humidity saved my life this time in my tent!

Thanks for the tip! never realized sweet sweets did one so cheap! Think ill be scrubbing the the pineapple and getting replacing it with two sweet skunk.
I wanna keep the kush just because iv'e never really had any! There not gonna be in air pots just to save myself an extra few £ probably just some cheap 2-3 liters depending on what i can get in my floor space

Once I realized I could get a tent for only $80 bucks and the CFLs were only about $40 each, it was really worth the investment. My grows are legal where I live because I'm a medical patient so stealth isn't a huge issue. I just leave my tent open and fans blowing for air and to keep it cool. It works really well.
Once you get everything figured out and working you won't have to mess with yours much. It's a great setup, and if you read up on LST you can really keep your plants short and maximize yield. I've been getting an average of 2 oz per plant. I highly recommend it!!

Random question for you guys, I have an old fish tank that still has a starter for the light its only a max of 30w but right now it has a T8 bulb in there.
Can i switch this for a T5 bulb? The ballast looks the exact same as This

Also if it can be used what bulb would you guys advise using? :thumbs:
