Hey what's up everyone? Been over in the photo section for a while, as I just finished up a photo grow. Anyhow, I've got a few different autos that are just getting going. I had a few seeds that would be about a week old but mice ate them!!! Dirty mice!!!

So today is day 1 for all my seedlings, and hopefully they make it past the damn mice!! I've got traps, bucket traps, and sticky traps EVERYWHERE!! The following strains have there head above ground as of today: (1) SBR-70 reg from SaH, (1) Cream fem from Blimburn, (1) Original Amnesia fem from Dinafem, (2) White Widow fem from Spliff Seeds. I've got room for 2 more pots (1/2 gallon homemade air pots from sugar container) but I'm not sure what to germ. I've got a few Sweet Skunk beans from Sweet Seeds and I think I may drop 2 this week. Here's the details of the grow:

Lights: (3) 135w UFO LED's, (2) 32w CFL's 6500k for veg, and (2) 42w CFL's 2700k for flower.

Soil: Base soil is ProMixBX, 1/2 gallon of manure compost and humic per every gallon of soil, added perlite, added seed starter, 1/2 tsp of bone meal per every gallon of soil mix, and 1/2 tsp of blood meal per every gallon of soil mix.

Pots: This grow has pots from 3 gallons down to solo cups.

Light schedule: 18/6

Grow space: I'll be growing in an empty closet that measures 28"x28"x84"

Air circulation: For intake I've got (1) 12" round fan that sets at the door (perforated door, air goes through), (2) 5" clip on fan for circulation, and for exhaust I've got (1) 4" Vortex fan mounted on a 24" long carbon filter.

Nutrients: Right now I have General Organic Go Box but I've got a free sample pack of X-NUTRIENTS coming in the mail. I'll let you guys know what exactly I'll be using once I figure it out. Hopefully I'll have some pics up this weekend!! :peace:

Sounds like an interesting mix of seeds! My White Widow are from Spliff also. I'll be following your grow to see how yours do. Mine are looking great at this point. https://www.autoflower.org/f44/first-grow-journey-learning-hope-28341-8.html

Yea its most definitely a mix up of seeds! Lol :Sharing One: Nice to see you growing the same thing, at least the white widow. This is my first time dealing with spliff seeds and SK far I'm happy! I had a third plant but it fell victim to a mouse!! Little bastards!! Your WW's look good, what day are they on?

BD- :tiphat: Those spots are just residue from either your water, or nutrient soln. you splashed on them,.... if it's just water, then you have some pretty hard stuff! This isn't a source of big concern, at least not immediately, but mineral build-up can lead to potential pH and nute' lockout issues later, plus it's just plain hard on the roots,... a quick spray with bottled water, which is very soft, will dissolve and rinse it away,...Using straight RO or distilled, with nearly 0 ppm's can actually leach vital stuff out of the leaves, if used long term or too often; I have hard water issues myself, so I end up mixing RO with filtered tap to about 175 ppm hardness, plenty for buffering, but not heavy on the minerals,.... Foliar spraying is an excellent way to get fert's and supplements to plants that need them quickly, i.e., Ca-Mg deficiency, or if your having soil issues, and want to get some nute's to them but keep the soil out of the equation... a very important and effective thing to have for this is a water spreader/wetting agent; this is a mild, nonreactive surfactant that takes the surface tension out of the soln. you're spraying, so that it coats and covers evenly, instead of beading up.. basically this means more surface area covered=more absorbed by the plant.... also works great on soil mediums that become resistant to absorbing stuff... *** otherwise, the wee ones look great! check ya later!

Hey thanks for stopping by and giving me the much appreciated advice!! :Sharing One: I kind of figured my hard water was to blame!! The water I've been using to mist the babies has been PhD water from the faucet. I've got well water by the way. The water I've actually been watering with is spring water in 1 gallon jugs. I'll try to spray them with some filtered spring water tomorrow and see what happens! :peace:

I counted from the day they shucked their shells so its day 17

You want avoid bottled spring water from what I read. If your water is hard, mix it with some distilled or RO water and save some money An inline carbon filter is cheap and will help lower your mineral content, possibly to reasonable level. My tap water is about 127 ppms. not to hard to use, and will have enough Ca and Mag that I may not need to add CalMag

I've been thinking about getting some type of filter. There's absolutely no doubt that I need something!! I'm not sure what my PPM is, as I've never checked it. Walmart has a tester for like 10 bucks. I found it back in the RV section!

Oh, I got up this morning and check the girls. They've got there first set of 3 fingered leaves!! :Sharing One:

Yea, right now they're like a loaded spring just waiting to go off!!
