Live Stoner Chat chicago customs took my seeds.

Two problems with your assumptions Bed. Leo isn't snatching seeds, Customs Enforcement is and no, things won't loosen up now that WA and CO are legal because there are still federal laws in force and customs is a federal agency not local. Also, the PO is a federal agnecy.

As for the price of seeds, it is really economics bro. Yes 120 is pricey but so is the hours, weeks, months and in some cases years spent breeding, cross breeding, and back crossing all to come up with something that isn't worth selling and then starting over. Breeders put a lot of time, energy and money into their genetics and deserve to get paid just like anyone else. Considering what 5 seeds cost and how much high quality weed a decent grower can get out of that, I think it is a bargain.

One other thing , In most all casses the breeder has no say in the finale price. The seed banks tend to run the price up then add in shipping. that's where the inflation comes from usually.... Not 100% of the time but a good chunk of it. :2cents:

Agreed, and they deserve a little piece of the pie as well. They sit on thousands of beans and good ones have them in climate controlled areas for preservation. I would guess banks probably double the price so if they are selling for 120 the breeder is probably getting 60. Just consider the tude and how many different breeders they supply and what not, I still think $120 is a fair price.

I thought "Leo" was just another term for PIGS---local, state, federal---cops, DEA, Postal officials---the assholes who wanna rid the world of marijuana one way or another. So, if it's the PO or Customs, it's still the PIGS, it's still LEO.

I vehemently disagree with you regarding the justification of obscenely priced marijuana seeds. Marijuana is a brotherly substance and no one should be breeding seeds for profit. I understand that you live in a capitalist society whereby profit is more important than helping people feel good, and I understand that profit-based breeders put in time & effort and expect to be paid money for their efforts, but at what point on their returns/profits do they make back their investment and then lower the prices? They never lower their prices.

Sorry, but marijuana---like healthcare, vet care, food, clothing, medicines, and shelter---should be free to all taxpayers. Instead of mis-spending Billions or even Trillions of dollars on Prohibition and the Military Industrial Complex EVERY SINGLE YEAR, the USA should be spending that money feeding, sheltering, and health-caring its citizens.

No one should want to be a doctor solely because it is a lucrative profession. They should only wanna be a doctor because they feel they were born to help people recover from injury & illness.

No one should want to breed marijuana seeds solely because it is a lucrative profession. They should be breeding them for the joy of creating pest-resistant, high-yielding, kick-ass stonable buds for the happiness of mankind.

I have never sold any marijuana I have grown---and I have been offered ridiculously high sums for it. If I don't have enough to give it away for free, then I share what I have via the passing of the bong.

Defending the unconscionably high prices of marijuana seeds with the same argument that the pharmaceutical companies use to defend their atrociously high prices for medicines is like defending charities who pay administrators high enough salaries to buy houses in gated communities from the charitable contributions intended to help people. It ain't moral. It ain't right. It's just plain heartless greed.

Note how KC Brains is still in business and he charges a fraction of what all other pro breeders charge. KC Brains has a heart.

Bed in one way i agree with you principles, but if everyone got everything they needed free (see list in your post) there would be no taxes.

As corrupt as capitalism is it does promote competition, which in turn promotes inovation and diversification which is why we have so many unique genetics including auto's.

Having said that nothing wrong with traditional landraces as long as they are treated with respect and not just turned into low quality brick weed.

It is very hard to create a system where eveyone agrees nay virtually impossible, which is why we get totalitarian leaders, who won't give any one a choice and the people have it far worse than in capitalist countries.

Even with comunism life was massively unfair and the standard of living was much lower than capilist countries.

If you have to work hard for something and you get a reward (profit from work or weed from seeds) You will appriciate it more and treat it with respect.
If you just expect something to be given to you and you don't have to put any effort in to getting it, it is more likely you will not respect it and treat it with contempt.

Almost every person on the face of the planet will try and sway things to thier favour it is human nature and whilst this still happens there is no hope of even getting near a utopian world.

The price of seed may be more than you want to pay, but the amount of product you get after growing them works out a lot cheaper than buying it from a guy.
