Lighting Chzrh- GN / Plagron 4 Strain Grow

Thanks Tang. Its absolutely amazing what these GN LEDS can do. I look forward to comparing photos of our berry nugs when finished.

Disaster Strikes

Just when everything seems to be growing great, you lose focus and get careless. Possibly made a big mistake. This leggy lass akr was tied across the tent yesterday. Everything was fine, I should have just left it alone. But it was kind of blocking some light for the bbxnl so I thought I would use some opposing force to straighten the main stem then tie down the top again. Anyone see where this is going? SNAP! Creased and bent the top. I braced it with a layer of duct tape, then supported it with another layer with some bamboo sticks in between. Let's hope this works.otherwise I'll be missing an akr main cola. SHIT! I'm so mad at myself right now.
Anyhow took the girls out of the tent for pics and to rearrange. This will be the last time you will see the Autoberry out of the tent until harvest. She is getting so heavy that her branches might break when I move her. The pics are in this order:
Cream Caramel, Autoberry, AB, AB, BBxNL, AKR, AKR repair.

If it wasn't decapitated it will probably be ok. May be set back a bit though.

To help with the buds being too heavy for the branches (bad genetics as far as I am concerned)(and a good problem to have!) get yourself some long skinny stakes, and stake em up. I have found pencil thickness bamboo at garden centers or just used whatever pencil sized dowel type things I can find laying around. (mini-blind adjuster sticks come to mind)
You can use the soft fuzzy "pipe cleaners" to tie them.
I have also just tied a few loops around the plant to help the plant sort of support itself. That way you don't have any sticks in your way if your space is tight.

Anyone see where this is going? SNAP!
Arrrgh ^_^ SNAPPAGE!

I've bust a few up myself hehe, I just get tape or a plaster and wrap it round the snap. Sometimes the branch with the snap turns out better than the ones that grew un-molested hehe
Hope this is the case for you!

Looking very nice in the grow room mate :)

:d5:

Thanks guys. So far the AB branches are holding under ther weight. It just felt dangerous when i was moving it. What I did on my last grow was tie a string to the branch, around the main stem once, then tied to the opposite branch. Supported 2 branches with one string and was still slightly adjustable.

Thats one stuffed tent bro  all looking lush :d5::smokebuds:

Quick Update

The snappage has not affected the main cola, the splint seems to have worked. The tent is getting pretty crowded. I did end up tying 1 branch on the Autoberry to help support its weight, all the other branches are ok for now. AB is on day 61 and still going strong, CC and BBxNL are on day 42 and are flowering, AKR is on day 38 and is flowering. PK is not doing so well. She is tall and thin from not getting enough light. I never should have started her, and Im reluctant to pull her now. Im just going to let her go and see what happens.
