Yeh, mate, it will be good to see what happens over the season with this approach. Some nteresting observations already - I would also have expected the photos to be tougher than autos, but thew four failed cloches today were covering a strain called 'the Scottish' which is supposed to be a hardy one. Probably is too, but the wee Snowberries outmatched them. I'm thinking the rules are different for different stages of development. I'm learning what strains do well outdoors in the earliest days of their life, but so far that's all I've got.
Tellk you what, tho... I really hope the Snowberries make it - I reckon that combination can't fail to produce a lovely smoke if it makes it to the end.
