Whats up guys! I have just started a new grow and wanted to put it up here to show how it goes!

Anyways, this go around im going with a ebb-n-flow flood type system. Here is a list of what I will be running :)
2x4 flood tray
12( maybe more?) Boss CoCo bags (1 gal)
27 gallon res
2x 300w mars hydro old style LED (possibly more if needed later down the road)
GH nutes with lucas or Head formula( adjusting as needed)

As for seeds I'm gonna run a batch of seeds that I made from a NLxBB auto and a DP Purple Kush auto. Hopefully i can get some nice phenos from the batch with some decent yields.

My goal: Hopefully get some short fat plants and a decent yeild. I think a reasonable yield with my experience and set up would be in the range of 15-17 OZ, with a realistic expectation of 12 OZ. I think 70-75 days from start to finish should be about what i need.

Here's some pics of what i got so far and hopefully a few people stay along for the ride.

Right now i only have 10/20 seeds with taproots showing. Made the bags and then flushed with RO water. I only have 10 bags right now because I dont want to prep them if i dont need them. Thanks for looking guys!!!

Alright. Another ebb n flower! That was a typo....but I like it!

Do those bags have holes in the bottom?
How's the nutes get in there?
How you going to keep coco from going down the drain into the rez?
How you going to make room for them when they explode into massive monsters?
I know you want um short an all. But, Plan for it......

I like the plan.

They don't have holes in the bag from the factory but it gives you instructions to cut holes in the bottom. I used a big fork and punched a couple of sets of holes in the sides and bottom. This should help the flow of water/nutes in and out. The holes are small enough that there shouldn't be any coco leakage I hope!! I did think about the explosion of growth when it happens and I have enough room to add another 2x2 table if needed. If all else fails I can top them which I know will reduce yield but maybe help growth. Should be a fun ride!

Well after i set the 10 bags i had done in the tray i realized that there probably wasnt enough room for more than that, even that is pushing it!! But we will see. I already put the seeds in and stuck them under the lights. I plan on hand watering for a few days.

Well I gave about 16oz of water between the 10 this morning with a drop of super thrive and a drop of GH bio-root and when i got home from work I had 6/10 that were trying to push through the coco with helmet head, 2/10 that were out and starting to open up to their new world, and 2/10 that were still trying to establish the taproot into the coco. I believe those 2 were 2 out of 4 that had smaller taproots a few days ago but i put them in the bags anyways.
Im going to call this day 0. I cannot wait to see how this goes!!!

The majority of them were starting to show last night. There were 1-2 that were slower than the others and 2 that had came up but with helmet heads. Today I will count as day 1 in their life. Will take some pics when I get home.

I've read a few places that low strength nutes should be introduced early because of the coco having no nutritional value like soil does. Is this something I should do? I've been using my well water which comes in about 260-270 ppm.

Cool man thanks!! What is your PPM usually at the first week? And do you do RO or tap water? I checked on them today and there were a few that had the shells stuck on them. I pulled them off to open them up to the light. They all look good except for one of the last 2 that were put into pots with smaller tap roots. Gonna take a few pics and post them

hey dude welcome always good to have another coco grower as ronin says start feeding in coco from day 1 i feed with tap water that has a ppm of .50 when i add 1/4 strength nutes that bumps it up to 400 ppm and i will feed them when they look dry i am using 11 litre air pots and feeding each plant 500 ml of water with nutes each time i will do that for a week then try to bump up the nutes a bit at a time good look with your grow dude :pass:

@fatcalvin :pass:
I use organic/veganic nutrients so I don't PH my feedings or take ppm/tds/ec readings.
As well, I use bubbled tap water when feeding my ladies.
@Wile e Peyote has you covered on the meter readings:thumbsup:
Thanks Wile:d5:
