Hey guys I'm in the planning stages of my first grow, I'm pretty sure I want to try coco out. It's a little abstract to me though... Since the material is inert do I start nutes earlier? Do I need other nutrients? Do I water with only nutrient water besides the flush? 1/2 strength?

I just want to nail this first grow so sorry for any obvious questions!

Thanks

I throw earth worm castings in with my coco than I just give straight ph'd water for first ten days than I feed light and gradually increase as the plant needs it. I feed every watering at a lighter amount than suggest I used Advanced Nutrients Ph Perfect Line. I just make sure to feed the cal mag I also use r.o water under led and hps. I feed every watering aswell as everyday once they get a bit bigger (around day 20) . I do coco hempy bucket set ups . Here's a few pics of my girls Orange Crack Auto

Hope that helps ya :pass:keep on trucking :d5:

I would recommend a nutrient specifically designed for coco. I use diy fatmans coco formula. Its pennies on the gallon and already has everything the plants needs, no need for extra junk or additives such as calmag.
