Yes you want to expand the block in ph water. Then when its all fluffed up let,it drain out real good, usually takes an extra day. Then you soak it down with ph water and cal mag and your good to grow

Always keep it moist,but not saturated...get to know the weight of your pots when they’ve been fed,then when the pot feels half empty...feed again.

It just sounds intimidating. Once you get it rinsed and put some plants in there and see how simple it actually is you'll feel a lot better. Good luck brother don't over complicate it. Remember keep it simple stupid lol

and usually add a few extra ml of calmag to counter act it

How true that is. Sometimes I have to double the amount of cal mag when it gets a little more pesky

That's the method I'm going to use keep it simple stupid..lol I'm going use maxi bloom the whole grow..

I use the same brand as you. Make sure to give it a good rinse before you use it.

How many gallons do you usually get out of a block of this.

I do only microgrows. I started using coco over a year ago and I still have the same block with not much missing. In my case that block goes a long way.
