Ok, all you veteran outdoor Auto growers. What type of containers have you had the best success with for growing Autos outdoors?
I will be growing in a hoophouse with TLO soil (non- gorilla grow).
I will be using 7 gallon containers, and I'm leaning towards Smartpots. They are a bit spendy, but not near as much as Airpots, and I will need 10 + of them.
I was first thinking about black plastic containers, but it sounds like there is a good chance of the roots getting cooked. Also was considering the white plastic bag containers, but have read of too many problems with drainage issues. But, if I am wrong on either of these issues, please straighten me out.
I believe I read somewhere here on the forum that Cres uses 20 gallon tubs, and plants 4 or 5 per tub. I'm not opposed to that method either!
Also this will be my first growing attempt. This dummy needs all the help he can get, so my first grow is not a complete failure.
Thanks all for your input.
