Live Stoner Chat Cool tube.

I have been using a cool tube in order to maintain heat levels around 24-28°c without it heat is around 28°-32°c. However as a little test I removed the cool tube and within a 24hr period I saw incredible growth spurt. However heat became an issue again so I deployed the cool tube again and the spurt seemed to stop altogether.

Would the cool tube glass and lack of reflector have that great of an effect on the power of the light ?

Yeah you will lose a small percentage of par it’s observabke by just looking at the bulb (I wouldn’t recommend spending along time looking a hps bulbs I might add lol) but you will find it is a lot easier to look at the bulb in a air cooled hud as opposed to one with out. It’s pro’s and cons... heat stress is going to negatively effect your crop far greater than a 10% less efficient light will. so don’t worry if you need the cool tube use it
