Thanx gman, no idea wat the RH is in the containers I'm afraid.. the buds were only put in there last nite so I'll give them a while and see if any smell/taste develops.. I'll b really disappointed if I end up with a batch of odorless non tasting weed does this happen to everyone?? anyone else get this?? Can anyone put a solid reason to why it happens?? Perhaps some of the veteran growers amongst us??

your gonna wanna get a little hygrometer to put in ur jar with ur buds. you don't want to lose it to mold, which is possible if it smells like hay. also you have to cure for like a month before real taste and smell come out. just my opinion. my last northern light blue was first time I was able to cure for at least 3 wks. opened her up last night and wow the taste and smell blew me away.

Cheers Faded.. been reading frantically last few days.. AFN's been down :O dunno if just for me or all round but down for few days.. anyways.. i've now calmed my ass down and realised that I need some small hygrometers as you suggest.. and some patience lol it needs to dry and cure.. properly.. it aint gonna do it wen i say so jar hygrometers ordered and en route.. jars at the ready.. have used my tent hygrometer in 1 of 4 jars of buds last couple days and the RH inside got to 70% which was when I took them out and decided they were too wet for jars.. back to the brown bags and I'll go by trial and error in the jars test the RH and take it from there.. iv only realised the 'normal room' RH in my place is 66%.. so with that in mind its no wonder its takin longer than I expected to dry my buds. thankx again for the reply man.. peace

Good to see you've got on top of it hope. My drying area sits around 67rh. I let my buds dry for 8 days before I jar them.

Thanks G.. no point cuttin corners at this stage really so patience it is lol.. atm I'm moving buds in and out of jars.. the one jar I have the hygrometer in RH is 69% after 24 hours so I'm thinkin open and leave buds out couple hours then back in and repeat til RH settles at 60/65% then I'm at the rite RH to cure?? am I doing the right thing??

Sounds about right hope. Worth remembering cheap rh meters will take longer to stabilize.

Few pics folks.. AN nutes blowin this lady up big time as with the little lady.. she actually looks like she's on steroids.. growin buds on er buds type thing.. i'm not even sure that's normal so if anyone can chime in with some advice on that i'm all ears.. shes on B52, Overdrive, Bud Factor X and OT Bloom.. measurements as per the legend Tang's schedule.. plannin to do a big flush the weekend then plain water for 7 maybe 10 days then she meets her fate.. beautiful smell of this plant.. nicest smelling strain i've grown (of a grand total of 3 strains lol) but not very frosty at all.. anyway.. pics



Any comments or advice always welcome peeps.. im still learnin so i'll take all the advice I can get and thank you kindly for it

Get some Boveda 62 packets and put one in each jar. These things are great, I use them every harvest.

Hey AFN, I've been checkin this girl regularly last week or so and all I can see is clear trichs.. I think.. certainly no amber to be seen she was flushed with 30L tap water Sunday night and my plan was to take her down a week today but I'm afraid of chopping too early.. any advice??? Continue on plain water until trichs change?? Is there anything wrong with doing that?? This is day 88.. can anyone advise??
