IME males are totally useful for medicinal purposes....my research indicates they have a higher cbd to thc ratio compared with the thc to cbd ratio of female plants....true, they do not grow flowers covered in trichomes, but they DO produce trichomes....try rubbing your fingers on the stems and sniffing....this will often give a good indication of the result of any offspring....choosing the male with the stickyiest and stinkyiest stems can add to the offspring's genetics in a beneficial way.
The leaves of all cannabis generally have more cbd than thc within them, and if being extracted into a solvent or oil or fat can yield a cbd heavy product, as opposed to the same being done with buds, which IME generally leads to an end product with a higher thc to cbd ratio.
Male leaves...or female leaves, may be smoked to calm a high that gets one too anxious and nervous....or to help counter sativa's mindrending effects.
cbd is being examined as potential anti-psychotic medication...
All stems and leaves from both male and female plants can be used for extraction or infusion.....they generally have more of a body effect and mind calming effect.
Even the roots have their uses....made into a topical they result in a balm or oil that helps the healing process, weeping wounds and infections.
