Crossing photo with auto = photo?

If I use female photo pollen on a female autoflowering plant, will the seeds be auto or photo. I'm getting mixed information

I believe they will be all photo first cross as the auto trait is recessive. I just harvested seeds from my first auto to photo cross but have yet to grow any out yet. I also believe most plants will finish flowering earlier than normal in the first cross. I think this is how company's like sweet seeds make there fast versions of photos that finish flowering about 1 week earlier than normal.

Iirc recessive trait so photo x auto = photo(now recessive auto) then crossed again gives 25% auto, 2 of those together gives 100% auto?

XX + yy = Xy

Xy + Xy = XX, Xy, Xy, yy

yy + yy = yy


Where X is Dom photo, and y is recessive auto.

Ya I think so but I believe it takes tell F4 to have stable yy. I guess I will find out if this is true or not soon.

Good to know. Every one keeps saying to go F4 to get yy. I am at F1 now starting my F2 as we speak.

Hey joe in the f2 you got no auto but in the f3 you have 25% auto if cross 2 of these plants all the offspring will be auto.

No my F1 seeds that I am trying to sprout will be all photo but there seeds should be 25% auto "the F2 seeds" from what I understand as your chart says XX+yy= F1 Xy / F1Xy+F1Xy = F2XX, F2Xy, F2Xy, F2yy / F2yy+F2yy = F3yy... So there are yy in F2.
