Harvest & Curing Curing after paper bag method

I've yet to use the boveda bro. I just burped my jars once a day for 10-15 mins or so for the first week. I just got into the swing, if it felt a little too damp, burped a bit longer, if it seemed to be drying to fast, not as much. The paper bags just made a huge difference to me, and when it hit the jars after a few days it was good to go, after 4-5 weeks-dynamite lmao.

Wow I can not wait to use that drying method all I've hears is good things about it lol. Can't wait to use it with the hubbabubbas Smelloscope!

the jars should be burped for at least a few minutes daily for the first few weeks to a month ... after that a weekly burp is not a bad idea ... the idea behind the burp is it allows the weed to evaporate off smells and moisture into the jar that are removed at least daily ... when the weed reaches a point where it smells nothing but good when the jar is opened then 'Burping' can cease or at least be reduced to once a week or so ... I store my own grown for fairly long periods ... the stuff that's been curing for 3-4 months is vacuum sealed but gets opened every couple months for a few minutes to breath ... helps keep it sweeter this way ... in my opinion the way to avoid the grassy smell is to try to dry the buds evenly and not let the outer bud get crispy while the inside is still real damp ... to avoid this I jar for 4-6 hrs at about day 3 to allow the inner moisture to permeate the out side of the bud ... I often do this 4-5 times during drying ...

I like that chester. I too store but havent got the extra time.
I've taken my jars after only a week and vacumn them up as long as they're in the 60's.
I know but i just dont have the time to work them so it slows them down. I do open them every couple weeks for a bit. But then i probably wont get to them for at least 4 months or more.
I still have some from early 14.
I really need to smoke my older stuff, but i like variety so i knickpit thru my med cabinet.
Anyway love all the work you put into it.

If you have a lot, you could use a Rubbermaid or some other large airtight tote. I would leave them in the bags, but fill the bags to the top and leave them open. Then you can burp it all at once, and use one humidity meter to monitor it all. Tobacco and tea are cured in huge heaps. They say it makes them cure better. Gives a more consistent environment and is also lightproof.
