In most cases most growers will lose anywhere between 60-75% while drying their buds. This is just a quick way to show a ball park number of dry weight.

This is a pretty basic and common knowledge formula but I didn't know it until the wife showed me.

percentage is shown from 100% (1.0) 1% (0.1). Example 67% = .67

(Wet (x) expected percentage loss = (-)wet again) Lets do the math.


Let's say you have 280 grams wet, and you expect to lose 65%


280
x.65 =
-------
182 - 280 = 98

98 grams dry

Hope this helps. This Math is isn't 100% accurate and should only be used to guess in most cases this will be bring you within -10 - +10 of the actual dry weight.
