Hoping to get some help identifying the required resistors for my build.

I guess I posted it in the wrong section. Didnt realize the was a DIY LED thread until last night.
I'm running the strips at around 1.15 amps and dont think I'll ever run them harder then that so i was thinking i need to wire in series a 1.2 amp resistor of sorts per strip to protect against thermal runaway. Looking for help in this area.
1. What type of resistor is required?
2. Do you wire it in series on the positive or negative wire?
3. Will I have to increase the driver output to make up for the inefficiencies created by the resistors?
Thanks in advance for any and all help.
