Have you ever checked the umol or ppfd at the canopy. That seems like a lot of light for the space.

I really think using staggered lights has some positive effects on plants as well if done properly. Light intensity is a different story all together

Hotspots are the only issue i had. Once you get that sorted you'll be fine.

I don't mean hotspots in terms of temperature, but in terms of light. If th beams overlap, you can get spots in the canopy where you can burn the plant.

Yes I knew what you meant why I keep door open I could set a plant outside door and get enough light to grow 1

I did ck the light with a Lux app on my phone how it works but was able to keep readings really close after adjusting lights

Actually, since you already know the proper heights for the other lights, than using the lux meter for your phone will be enough. Turn off the two upper light, check the highest lux you have, then turn on the upper lights, and make sure you don't go too much above that across the canopy. Quick and easy.
