Day 15 First problem, confused...

That does indeed sound high, I have 5 going on 18 days, and they get 1 quart (.94 L) every 4th day... just misting in between.

Just because it's "organic" doesn't mean you don't monitor ph, that's a perfect way to set yourself up for a failure. Don't know how many times I've heard the i don't need to check, it's organic, only to find out that was indeed the issue.

Totally agree. Everyone’s mileage is different even if you mimic someone else’s gear and nutes.

I use Tangs easy feed schedule that uses ph perfect for base nutes and I still had to PH to fix a few issues.

My first grow was also organic in an attempt to avoid using nutrients, and still I ended up having to PH to fix a nutrient uptake issue.

When using GBD soil from Mephisto there is no no to add any nutes at until and if needed week 7. I used it half dozen times.and cal/mag may also be needed

Just my experience

:toke: Milo- I'm familiar with GBD's mix,... that said, your in-pot pH is not bullet proof, too many other influencing factors! it's less likely to drift off pH, but it can and does happen,... it's pH adjusting organic (bottled) nutes that's not recommended,... ditto for RO/Di water because the pH buffering minerals ( Calcium carbonate) have been removed, so even tiny inputs can cause wild pH swings... that, and for other reasons, pH meters have difficulty reading truly pure water pH..... That said, the interveinal discoloring is still early on, and fairly generic.. had to say for sure what's behind it yet, but Mg defc. is the usual suspect... it would be very odd in a young plant, fresh mix for sure though,.. hence the need to check pH... problem is, in this set-up and method of feeding, the only proper way is to use a quality pH soil probe, like the Accurate 8,... those skinny cheapo units are crap,... and run-off in not an option here,... So, let's take the soil out of the equation, and do a foliar spray of epsoms (MgSO4),... 1tsp/qt dilution; use a wetting agent or mild soap like castille to make the solution coat and stick better, instead of beading up,... spray tops and bottoms of leaves (more gets absorbed via stomata), out of direct light until dry... you can mist with pute water after dry as well, to redissolve and get another "helping" in there,... treat 2-3 times over a week or so and let's see what that does,.. symptoms will stop, maybe reverse if it's really a Mg defc.,...

Sounds good my man. Accurate 8 was ordered yesterday and should arrive Thursday. I will spray them tomorrow. Should I continue with cal mag when I water? Thanks for the help, I appreciate it.

...no, not in the water itself,.. I'm sure at this early stage and GBD mix there's plenty of Mg in there, unless the in-pot pH is TARFU... doesn't look like it since no other symptoms are showing,... do the foliar, wetting agent is key to effectiveness,... then we'll see what the A 8 says!

Okay sounds good. 1tsp epsom per qt, how much soap?

... just enough to make it stop beading up, maybe 1/2tsp/qt? Play with it some with the sprayer,.. you using a wetting agent or castille? Don't use harsh detergents like dish soap, too nasty,...
